Yeah, this thread has got me Jonesing for one. I was checking it out on the Sig site when my wife walked in, and from the look in my eye and the drool coming out of my mouth, she though I was on some adult porn site! :lmfao:

I tried to explain that it was better than porn, but she just furrowed her brow, shook her head, said, "Yes Dear" and walked out.

I've gotten similar responses. Often, they included the: "how many more guns do you need?" inanity. :)

I get this one, or "I thought you said you were done buying guns for a while." Then I say, "But honey, this one really is the last one." :@ya:

I think I need to look at that Sig sight again.

They will soon start nagging "why don't you look at some porn instead"?

Yep. Been there, done that. Now I am trying to convince her how much money I can save by reloading! Just a few more toys, and then I will *really* start saving money!

LOL... I went down that path as well... then I convinced her that the real savings come from casting my own bullets.... Now I have more money invested than I am likely to save in a couple of years... I think she understands it is just another hobby that keeps me out of trouble.

Oh my. I got to see, hold and fondle a P226 SAO Legion today. I don't know what to say, but does anyone know of anyone who wants to buy a kidney?

It is a large gun, that is for sure, and a bit on the heavy side compared to the P229, but it felt perfectly balanced in my hand, and the slide was like butter sliding over a bikini model's belly! The trigger is so dreamy and has such a short reset... I am completely 100% sold on this gun thanks to all of you and this thread. Curse you Batman!!! :xmad:

I bought a legion p229 in march of this year, put 2k rounds through it without 1 failure and loved it so much that I bought a second one 2 months later. I love having the DA option just incase of carry or if nothing else to make you feel a little more at ease. why not take the one with the extra option. Hands down best my favorite gun even compared with my higher end 1911's. I don't understand why many people say they are overpriced and sometimes trash talk them. If you can find a used one in pretty good to like new condition for $800-$900 Id say its a great buy. But as most will say, its all in personal preference.

Point Blank in Greenwood had the P226 Legion SAO in stock I believe when I was there last weekend. The Carmel location has had stock off and on of the Legion pistols as well. Not sure about other shops.

I was skeptical myself when Sig announced it and even before start hitting the streets people started to talk trash about them, I had the opportunity to handle and shoot many handguns and the 226 Legion SAO is one of my favorite factory guns. I don't mind paying or quality and this time I think Sig hit the nail on the head, just recently I let my brother try mine and immediately purchase one.
