How does one go about providing a copy of a 4473?
Ahhh, you copy it when you buy the firearm or ask your dealer for a copy.

Years ago during the assault / magazine round ban Para Ordnance sold all of there double stack pistols with 10 rd mags. The pistols came with a certificate to buy two more high cap mags with proof that you bought it new.
#1 way was to get a copy of your 4473 form and mail it to them for proof.
    Been there done that.

I've only had to provide a receipt for any rebates, etc on firearms, even a couple of decades ago when I got some hearing protection, gun rug, etc on a firestar.

I'm not inclined to hand over a 4473.

I said it was one way, not the only way. No SS # on any of mine, why would I be concerned with a company's compliance dept / warranty having a copy?

I'm old enough to have had my SS # on my drivers license and work permits as a young man.
Just about ones entire life is easily available as public information. They know who you are.
"They" is not some fulfillment department that may be subcontracted out.

Do you also worry about your information with your banks, credit / debit cards, Doctors offices, hospitals, landlords, mortgage company's, county, state and Federal tax offices with so many of those using outside or offshore contractors doing billing and so on?

I don't myself, I tend to worry about more important things that that.

    Now thats funny...
I wasn't city folk smart. I grew up outside black rock in a farmhouse with no running water. Took baths in a wash tub, used an outhouse. I played with snapping turtles and snakes when i was out n about. Thats what we did in those days when not at the rodeos. Mom was a barrel racer

I didn't think you would answer that post.
To your point there are nation states, and various hackers that have all our info. Can't do anything about that. On the other hand I'm not dropping my ssn on the Dr's intake form be cause they feel like they need it, and I'm not asking for copies of 4473's to turn them over to a fulfillment clerk.

And I don't expect you to take in another viewpoint...
