Aren't Jews notoriously liberal voters, by the numbers? Aren't these OWS crowds incredibly diverse? The whiff of racism doesn't even pass the common sense sniff test for me. At least show me one protester's sign as proof of the movement's beliefs.

So because they are liberal they deserve the kind of hate speech that I posted.

The Tea Party was called racist unjustly, because that was only a handful of protesters holding up ridiculous signs, and it does not reflect the true beliefs of the movement.

The Occupy Wall Street protesters, however, are totally racist - I mean, look at these signs.

I never used the word racist. I just said there seemed to be a whiff of antisemitism that was disturbing. Rambone asked for just one sign as evidence. I provided several pics of Wall Street and LA along with several stories from a variety of sources that fell into that category. I am sure I could find many more. The Tea Party folks had a clear concise message that had nothing to do with race. Unless you buy the argument that stopping deficit spending is racist in and of itself. This group does not (so far anyway, but they are reportedly trying to develop one), so it makes signs like this more interesting IMO.

The police is being too nice, in my city the police would've been kicking butt
Why? If they can go after the Occupy people then it's a short step to going after the TEA Party people. Or anyone else they want to go after. Nope. If they're behaved and not damaging property they have the right to gather and speak and the cops should be very careful about what they do, lest they create more enemies than they already have.

How come I keep seeing this word Zion and Zionism? Is that code word for hating Jews?

What is your take on this Expat?

    Jews Against Zionism

Zionists were only used in 1 out of the 4 pictures I posted. Did you look at #40 of this thread?

There were Jews that collaborated with the Nazis during the Holocaust. I also understand that some Jews believe that they have not suffered sufficiently yet to be allowed to return to the Holy Land.

The green sign in that post says "Zion" inside each of the stars.

Which sign do you think shows the most hatred?

And as a side note, generalizations are prone to error, whether they are coming from inside or outside the protest.

Expat, do you find this equally hateful and disturbing?

I certainly find them ill advised. They demonstrate an ignorance by the protestor (isn't muslin some type of cotton or other material) and probably hurts their cause. The half breed comment is hateful. But I don't find comments made toward any politician all that disturbing. But to make suggestions that Jews control Wall Street or the money supply is simply wrong. The comments are also becoming more common and more acceptable in this country.

Let me be clear, I am not against these people demonstrating all they want. They have the right to put up signs proclaiming anything they want, whether I find it disturbing or not. I would take the position that this type of speech is exactly what the Founders would have protected, more so than some of the other that SCOTUS spends most of its time on.

Meh, it's the current fashionable fad. When the weather gets colder and the tv cameras move on to the next one this whole thing will vanish.

Big dc law/lobby firms make all the decisions, if you want your opinion to count you need to give them cash.

Thry stink. Wall Xtreet has the same stench. Ditto POTUS and "legislators"

... for the most part. (trying to keep it non-political.) I am a stockholder, my retirement is in Wall Street, but I'm being raped by congress. I wish it were A LOT colder so that fire-hoses would have better effects on those "unwashed" urchin-vermin. I agree: let LEO do the job. There are plenty of jobs so that these "American citizens" can go to work and pay down those stupid-student loans. In the 30s and 40s it was "the world owes ME a living!" So a war got started. Everyone got employed. EBG

as long as theyre just protesters and not rioters or looters, i think we should let them be....besides alot of people are seeing this for what it really is, a bunch of young people(like me) who see a disconnect with the america they grew up beleiving in and the way america really IS...theyre just too young "stupid" and unorganized to know how to fix it...or it really is something that is just too big to fight. either way, just cause they might seem like a bunch of commy hippies doesnt mean that thats actually what they want, cuz in my opinion they dont really know. they just dont like the way this country is being run....and it has alot to do with the young peoples job market and the prospect for their future (many kids my age feel as though theyl never be as accomplished or secure as their fathers)...somethings wrong, they just dont know what to do about it

there is no official INGO position. The liberals are trying to convince themselves that the protesters are their "Tea Party" (something they want so bad), and common sense folks know that they are nothing more than pot smoking rabble being manipulated by big labor and the White House.

and socialists. lots of socialists and communists. anyone who claims they want a redistribution of wealth for any reason, particularly the lame reason that they feel cheated due to life or circumstance, is a Socialist and deserves fifty cents worth of lead between the eyes.

but as we are still a free enough Republic to allow free speech, i don't think we can stop the idiots. But I do wish the media would stop claiming them to be 'organic' and 'righteous'. Tomatoes in my garden are organic and the Lord Christ is righteous. All else is :bs:. Especially the notion that some socialist protests are in good faith or deserving of praise. If I were king you'd never hear from these people again. Lucky for them, and probably for me too, I am not king.
