because I don't care about a bunch of people in a far of land that would rather behead me then be my friend?:dunno:

At least that's what they tell you... Sure is the humanly way to deal with other human beings, that lack of compassion says a lot about ones true nature. I don't care one's race, creed, ethics etc if they're an innocent human being that gets killed in the name of war my heart is heavy.

Maybe I'm not a true "red-blooded American" :dunno:

Continue to fight what? Is there a real definition of "terrorists" NO, this means the war is never-ending. This war is doing nothing but killing innocent people every day, how do people sleep at night with these sickening ideologies?

We are all people, why can't we just get along? Another reason why religion does nothing but poison the hearts and minds of men.

there has never, in the history of the plant, been peace between all men, it's in our nature.

So Osama's kids don't approve of the way we took him out? Would they have preferred we did it their way, which is to hijack a plane and crash it into his house?

tell that to Daniel Pearl, and then read the Quran. there are many passages that talk about converting non Muslims by force and to kill those that don't. they teach their children form a young age that all Christians and Jews are swine and vermin.

I don't practice any single religion although I study theology, the fact that Christians are at war with Muslims on who is the most just is simply asinine.

Considering their origins stem from the same source - also they're both equally oppressive on the human mind and equally as murderous as the next.

I'm going to seriously digress from this topic, it's spiraling out of control and I feel like I'm going to get banned.

Although I'm prepared for the consequences.

the theology is not the reason i have no compassion for them, because there are plenty of people right here in the good old USA that I don't care about as well. life's to short to pour all you emotion into people you don't know.

That is of course if you want to believe all of this is real in the first place, not only am I talking about Osama's reported 'death' but 9/11 as well.

Here is the point - there was no trial we just waltzed in there and KILLED all of those people. They want proof just like any other non-vigilante blood-thirsty person on this planet.

I don't care how you look at it, even the Nazi's had a proper trial why shouldn't Osama? Let alone show proof of his death.

I find it kind of ironic how you are so quick to call them idiots for simply asking the US to show it's colors. We are supposed to be innocent until proven guilty, this is how we treated everyone until now, including Saddam.

    Get with the program, broseph.

Our freedoms are going away because of mentality's like this, also I don't personally believe it's morally acceptable to kill over 900,000 people in order to get 1 man that supposedly arranged attacks that killed 3k. Also, if I may so be brazen, there has never been any PROOF that Osama did this, oh and we didn't find WMD's in Iraq.

It doesn't make it right, my friend.

I don't always agree with you but on this one I think you have hit the nail on the head.

I don't know about all the details but I do feel that this "war" has spiraled out of control. The spiral started when our rights were signed away in the form of the patriot act. It is a bad idea to trade liberty for security. It is an unfair trade. Withdraw all the troops? I dunno maybe maybe not. Sign any more of our rights away? Hell no I'd rather terrorists run free. It seems like we don't even know who our enemy is any more.

I personally wouldnt have cared if the US executed Osama Binladin on the Jerry Springer show, and fed his body to hogs. His family that has remained silent until this point garner equal sympathy as well.

That said, let us step back for just a moment and look at what the statement is asking for, and what the possibilities of it may involve.
    >First, they are asking for proof that Osama is in fact dead, something that many US citizens have been asking for as well.
    >Secondly the statement is naming Obama as the responsible party for the illegal actions that resulted in the death of Osama.

If in anything ever does come of this, the very least we may see would be proof that the statements that the press has been spoon feeding the US are in fact true.
If that much is actually proven, the next thing on the list was holding Obama accountable for his actions. This would very likely implicate a large portion of the Obama administration.
Two possibilities could come from this, one, Obama is held acountable, and International courts will deal with the situation as they see fit. The other would be the withdraw of the US from NATO, and affiliation with the socialist European governments that have influenced many of the issues that have changed this country (for the worse) over the last century or so.

Just because we dont agree with their reasoning, dosent mean that we cant appreciate some of the effects that it may have.

Much as we would be holding nation XXX accountable (with a nuclear strike) if they had staged a snatch and grab on any of our 4 star generals. Its a war, so that would have been totally ok with everyone right?

Yes, it is all a dream. Tomorrow I'll wake up and gas will be $1.37 a gallon, the World Trade Center will be intact, real estate will have appreciated at a rate of 6% a year, and there will be two unicorns in every yard. No more mowing. Yea!

Here is the point - there was no trial we just waltzed in there and KILLED all of those people. They want proof just like any other non-vigilante blood-thirsty person on this planet.

Here is the point: HE WAS NOT ENTITLED TO A TRIAL. HE WAS A DECLARED ENEMY DIRECTING ATTACKS AGAINST THE UNITED STATES. HE WAS A VALID AND APPROPRIATE MILITARY TARGET. HE GOT WHAT HE DESERVED. BAD TERRORIST - NO VIRGINS FOR YOU.

I don't care how you look at it, even the Nazi's had a proper trial why shouldn't Osama? Let alone show proof of his death.

You don't care how I look at it? The Nazi's get trials because they had given up, ceased all hostilities, and we were in the retribution phase of the war operation. Bin Laden had not given up and subjected himself to any justice system. If he had waltzed into the American Embassy in Islamabad and surrendered I would see it differently. He didn't. I don't.

I find it kind of ironic how you are so quick to call them idiots for simply asking the US to show it's colors. We are supposed to be innocent until proven guilty, this is how we treated everyone until now, including Saddam.

Do you not understand the difference between a crime and war? Do you not understand there are different rules that govern the prosecution of criminals and the removal of combatants from the field of battle? He was directing attacks against this nation that I love. My only regret is that I am no longer a part of the machine that fed this pig to the fishes.

    Get with the program, broseph.

    Get on the team, mate.

Freedoms gone? I hear this a lot. I feel less free because the government keeps putting their hands in my pockets and stealing my property than I do because they are listening to conversations between other people calling home to Saudi Arabia. I feel less free because I make about half of what I used to on my investments because of government overreaction and interference in the free market. I feel less free because I am required to pick up slack others leave because of overt corruption in our political system.

I don't engage in activity that will get me reditioned to Egypt, so I don't worry the government will pick me up and put me on the next plane to nowhere. I've been waterboarded. It's not fun, but it's not the worst thing that's ever happened to me. If I blow up a building full of people I'll assume out of general principle that I might be questioned harshly. Maybe even waterboarded. I'm OK with that. If and when someone is waterboarded for a seatbelt violation as some tweakers on this forum claim is the next logical step, well, I'll worry about that when it happens.

900,000 dead? Source please, otherwise it didn't happen.

There's also no proof that the Easter Bunny exists, except that my grandchildren get goodies from him every year. Honestly the fact that anyone could believe Bin Laden had nothing to do with 9/11 is frightening, especially given that he said he did it and all that. Or maybe you think it was all computer generated on Thinking Machines laptops running Linux. I don't know.

No WMDs in Iraq? Tell that to the 15,000 dead Kurds. Or the ****es he used mustard gas on. The fact that Saddam was able to divest himself of WMDs is not proof there were none.

It doesn't make it right, my friend.

I for one am glad that there are those that love their country enough that they will climb into a helicopter with 20 of their best friends and go eliminate a threat to this country not knowing if they will come home. I am disappointed I am no longer able to be one of those guys. I wish I was. And I hope they do it again and again and again until there are no more threats to America. That is the only thing that is right.

I want to pick apart some of your statements just for the purpose of discussion.
I don't engage in activity that will get me reditioned to Egypt, so I don't worry the government will pick me up and put me on the next plane to nowhere.
This sounds very familiar to the,"if you have nothing to hide then why are afraid of the government searching you" argument. I don't think thats exactly what you mean but my point is it doesn't matter if we have nothing to hide. We have rights and they must be protected.

Freedoms gone? I hear this a lot. I feel less free because the government keeps putting their hands in my pockets and stealing my property than I do because they are listening to conversations between other people calling home to Saudi Arabia
I see what you mean however the government listening to our conversations and the government stealing our money are still both violations of our rights and need to be stopped.

I feel less free because I make about half of what I used to on my investments because of government overreaction and interference in the free market. I feel less free because I am required to pick up slack others leave because of overt corruption in our political system.
I absolutely agree with you here.

No WMDs in Iraq? Tell that to the 15,000 dead Kurds. Or the ****es he used mustard gas on. The fact that Saddam was able to divest himself of WMDs is not proof there were none.
I agree here also. Saddam could have gotten rid of his WMDs before we even invaded but that didn't save him did it? This brings up hard questions that the people of the United States will have to answer. Are we going to continue policing the world? Is it our job to protect the innocents over there when it is destroying the very fabric of our own country to do so? If we didn't go into Iraq think of the lives that could have been lost because of Saddam on top of what he already has done. But is it worth it and is it our job to protect them?

It may not be our "job" but it wasn't too long ago that many of our ancestors gave their lives to fight tyranny and be free. I would hope that America, as a country, still remembers what it was like to be ruled. I agree that other countries need to stand up for their freedom, and doing so will eventually lead to bloodshed and death, but I see no wrong in lending aid to those who might fail without it. Of course, those same people have to stand on their own two feet eventually.

Not at all. It's just that rendition is not on the list of Top 10 things I'm afraid my government will do to me today. I know there are others that sit in their mom's basement hiding from darkops government agents who want to whisk them away to a secret undisclosed location for jaywalking. I'm the other guy.

I see what you mean however the government listening to our conversations and the government stealing our money are still both violations of our rights and need to be stopped.

I don't want the government to listen to my conversations. I don't even want my mom to listen to some of them.

Exactly eventually they have to stand on their own two feet. I question if they really want freedom though. Is that what we are over there for? Yes and no. This war is not like any other war fought before. We are fighting against enemies that we don't even know who they are. Guerrilla warfare is what were fighting against. We did it once in Vietnam and we didn't win. I question this war because its toll its taken on our country. What are our goals? What mission will be accomplished that ends the war? When will it end if ever?

As for Osamas families questions no he didn't deserve a trial. The military is fighting this war not politicians and the military needs to decide what to do in order to win the war. If killing OBL is a step in that process so be it.

This is why I hate Americans.
Interesting msconfig would make such a post and have Thomas Jefferson quoted in his signature. It was this same Thomas Jefferson, one of the great advocates of religious tollerance, who studied the Koran so that he would better understand his adversaries before going to war with radical Muslims in 1801.

Here's a good quote from Benjamin Franklin upon signing the Declaration of Independence: "We must all hang together, or assuredly we shall all hang separately."

Politics, intolerance, terrorism, hate, online forums - it's all about divide and conquer friends.

You are incorrect, we have fought this kind of war before:
The Indian wars of the Early & Late 1800s.
The Banana wars of the early 1900s.
The Philippine-American wars of the early 1900s.

Just to name a few. The US has a long history of fighting this kind of war.
