Baucus, who was a major player in blocking President George W. Bush's efforts to privatize Social Security and was instrumental in crafting the Affordable Care Act, enjoys close ties to the financial sector. According to CRP data, he has received $5.2 million in campaign contributions from the finance, insurance and real estate industries since 2005.

In Kerry's home state of Massachusetts, meanwhile, the defense industry has tripled in size since 2000.

We still patiently await the decisions of Nancy Pelosi, John Boehner, & Mitch McConnell regarding the appointment of the other 9 Supercongressmen. Notice how the Establishment has wrested control of the country by requiring that these positions be filled only by the good graces of the top a******s in the 2 parties.

This super congress stuff makes me wonder if there is any hope for things to be fixed. What would have to be done to eliminate the things that the Senate and House do? Such as passing laws they are not subject to and taking bribe money from businesses and special interest groups.

Would it take a ruling by the Supreme court? Or would they have to fix themselves? I don't see either of those happening though.

I just read that the Republican who wrote George Bush's Light Bulb Ban is on the Supercommittee. Rep. Fred Upton. (R-MI)

He and John Kerry will devise a plan to save the country.
