I'm looking more at Johnson, because I really don't like any of the four left. However, I doubt he could do well enough to win it all, the idealistic strain of the Libertarians constrains. There has been a lot of talk about drafting a Republican to run against Trump/HillBern...

My point exactly. People on both sides will be holding their nose MIGHTILY in the General Election, given the current look of things. That's leaves a huge gaping hole that the LP could drive right down the center. Don't want to choose between a Fascist Populist and a known perjurer and liar? Here's an alternative! The only thing required is for L's to quit thinking like Losertarians and do it right. They have just enough of a machine to make it happen.

I think you may be underestimating how many people really do have a positive view of HRC. They are willfully ignorant of her abysmal record. They are the "some of the people" that have been fooled "all of the time."

It is not official. However the LP would be stupid to not nominate an ex-governor as a 3rd party candidate.
