Even Andrew Horning, whose FB page I got this from said he hoped this chance didn't set the LP cause back 25 years...especially with one of them.

He's talking about McCaffee. He's a wildcard and a bit of a kook in some regards. Not to mention the baggage he's bringing with him, (a murder investigation in the Central American country he lived in). More libertarians are looking forward to hearing from the other candidates, than McCaffee. I'm not betting that he has much support.

    Since we brought up McAfee...

The gun to the forehead thing. A journalist went to interview McAfee in the jungle. He asked him about his involvement in the murder scandal. McAfee answered saying illusion is very powerful. The journalist saw him put a bullet in the cylinder, spin it, put the gun to his head and pull the trigger. And again. And again. And again. Several times. Freaked the interviewer out. He was under the illusion that the gun had one bullet in the cylinder. Apparently McAfee did some cheap magician's trick and just make him think it was loaded. He tried to use that illustration to suggest that the accusations against him were just illusions.

Yeah, the wheel is still spinning, but the hamster's dead.

Do bear in mind that all but about 4 of those candidates are never going to make it past the initial vote at the national convention. NOTA will get more votes than most of them. Hell, I don't know how some of the listed candidates even made it into the race, given their stated and loony positions.

Yes it's unfortunate that it's 11 people in terms of watching a debate but that's just the reality of the situation

The other candidates will also be in town this weekend for the LPIN State Convention. Not sure they are hosting any events. Candidates for state races will be chosen there and there will likely be a straw poll.

On the state level, infrequent INGO member Rex Bell has won the LPIN nomination for the governors race. Here's wishing Rex well in his endeavour. He's certainly a better candidate than Pence or the 'Stache.

I was the only idiot wearing a Gary Johnson sweatshirt...lesson learned a meet and greet is more formal than a rally.

I don't know you so therefore didn't spot you, but there were plenty of people in jeans. Johnson was wearing athletic shoes ;)
