I also have the M&P Compact in .40. I love it so far. What do you think of yours? (obviously you trust your life to it)

I really, really like my M&P Bigum, I have not had a single failure of any type with it so far and I have had it over a year or so now. Accurate, and it fits my hand well, and the recoil for .40 is downright pleasant to shoot. Can't ask for more than that I suppose. I am changing the rear sight out for a plain black one soon, other than that I have not changed a thing. I will probably put a front night sight on it later on also. It is my primary weapon for me now.

My friend liked it so much he got a full size 9 version, and I actually shoot the compact better! He also loves his M&P.

I am interested to see how the .45 compact models sell.

Like isn't a strong enough word.

I'm going to throw this out there.... to be like Shay....

Every self defense handgun should be an HK P30!

    The first time I held a P30....

Well let's put it this way....

I needed some alone time and a wet nap.

9mm. Hi-Power almost everyday. P3AT (380) when the bigger pistol just won't fit. Sometimes it's what ever strikes my fancy, Walther P38, S&W model 10, or even that big/heavy CZ97 (45ACP). The Hi-power is about 90% of the time. Just like the feel of that steel frame. Need to look into suspenders or loose the gut to keep from having it pull my pants down. Oh, the things we endure to carry.

9mm, if the 147's don't stop a threat at first hit, not much else will

I plan on carrying a 38 super though relatively soon tho(when I buy one) then all the thugs who are smart enough to wear body armour while trying to mug me for milk money will have to think twice.....bulletproof vest wha?

    I switch between 9mm and .45.
But it's mostly 9mm. And, the BUG is a 9mm so I always have that regardless.
    So I picked 9mm.
