How did sales tax only amount to $0.28 on a $21.59 bill?

    It should have been $1.51.

I have to pay 7% when I go shopping in Indiana. Do you get some kind of LEO discount that we don't know a out? :):

Notice the F after all but the one lone T...
The F is for Foodstuffs which are not taxed...
The T is for Taxable Item which is taxed...

This applies to EVERYONE by the way...

I think he only paid tax on the cheesecloth. IN cops don't have to pay sales tax on food...along with everyone else lol.

I'm so pissed off right now I'm about to blow a gasket. I've been here on INGO for a few years now and I've learned some things. One of the things I've heard repeatedly by those who must obviously know more than I do, is that I, a public employee, do not have to pay taxes.

I went to Kroger earlier today to purchase a few items for the family dinner of bean soup. When I got home I looked at the receipt and found this:

Now I know that the police aren't popular around these parts. I may not get the information I'm seeking but would one of you, who knows so much more than I do, point me the action I need to take to ensure nothing like this ever shows up on one of my receipts again? Is there a special membership card or something? Does it work across state lines also? Once I have it I'm going to the Auditor's office to get this crap scraped off of my property taxes and I'd like to use it to make buying a replacement for my recently crashed truck a little easier on the wallet.

Thanks in advance for the help.

They didn't even ring up the frickin donuts!
They ring mine up every time I go there.
    I'm boycotting Kroger!

We don't even have to bring them to the checkout counter. Just grab a box on our way in the door and munch as we shop. A dozen is typically gone before I pick up the other items I need. It's all good.

I think everyone just wants to brag about a cop being on their payroll :):

I said it on here a long time ago and I will say it again. If it were up to me, you cops would get paid a **** load more money. I think it would also help to ensure that only the top qualified people ever have the honor of wearing a badge.

With all due respect ... if money = high quality worker or productivity .
Then why is the DC school system one of the worst in the country and union shops so hard on employers and the final cost of the product .

I'm not saying that government employes should be paid less or more ... judgment call and the puke and **** that Johnny Law puts up with is had to calculate in the tremens of money .

But money does not equal better employees .
    Character does .
Sometimes the best things are accomplished by a volunteer because he has the strongest drive ..

    Thanks
