Got it as a teen and still have it around. The 18" Deer Slayer barrel is wicked and very accurate. Great for hunting and that is about it.

Lot better guns now days. Shot guns are not my first choice although are a great change of pace and pretty funny to play with at the range. Slugs turn bowling pins into kindling wood.

Savage 20 ga single shot. It was my dad's when he was a kid. First shot was when I was 4. Shot my first quail with it when I was 8 and smoked it with the modified choke. Got a little excited and didn't listen to dad on waiting for the bird to fly up enough before I shot. Needless to say that one didn't get eaten. Still have it in the safe for my son when he's ready.

My uncle gave me a Mossberg 185K-A. It's a 20 ga bolt action with an adjustable choke and a two round mag. Cool gun. Would like to have taken the 12 ga but my brother beat me to it!

Mine was a remington 12 gauge single shot. Christmas from my dad when I was 10. Took many a squirrel and rabbit with it until I moved up to a pump several years later. Still have it to this day.

My father gave me a 1950's vintage Marlin Model 90 over/under in 16 gauge when I was 15 years old. I, of course, still have it and use it regularly for upland bird hunting.

I bought mine just a few years ago. It was a Remington Wingmaster 12ga with the slug and full choke bird barrels made in 1972. They literally don't make them like the used to anymore. That's just my :twocents:

J.C. Higgins model 10, 12ga. I still have it...and I'm restocking it (well, eventually) with an 85% stock that cost more than the gun will be worth finished, and have since put about 30 or 40 hours into finishing the stock. Yeah, efficient.

My dad got me a 16 ga H&R single shot from K-mart for my 10th birthday in 1972. My brother and I both got 16 ga guns because dad had a 16 ga Wingmaster.

Sadly, I don't have my old H&R, but I do have dad's old Wingmaster.
