It depends. If there's no chance of wearing gloves, then most likely a compact 1911 in .45. If there is a chance I might wear gloves, then I go with a CZ 75 of some sort due to the larger trigger guard. Sometimes a CZ 97. Almost always have a Sig P238 in my pocket too.

Usually I carry a 3rd Gen S&W in 9mm but lately I have started carrying a Springfield XD9SC due to the lighter weight and it's a lot easier to conceal.

I carried a S&W Model 65-3 from the LGS to the workbench to the safe, it wasn't too bad for a steel gun, I'm a little guy, wasn't sure I'd be able to carry it, but I managed. I might try adding a little weight to it and load it.
