Never owned a Glock 23. Had a Glock 22RTF and they are a really great firearm. I did have a friend that spanked me pretty well with his Glock 23 though!

Now, I much more prefer a Glock 21SF, 45ACP. Very nice, and lots of firepower! :)

Go with a 23. Slightly smaller making it easier to conceal.

    I'd personally recommend a 9mm, but that's just me.

If it has to be between 22 and 23, go with the 23 for the reason stated above.

If it has to be a .40, go with the Glock 27.

I have a glock 26 and if you use a Kholster or Crossbreed Super Tuck the gun will be virtually invisible.

Then again, I have smaller hands so I prefer a sub-compact. Your hands may be too big to use one.

If you don't have any Glock then go G23, or get the G22 then the G27 in short order, one for HD and range, the other configured identically for carry.

you should be able to find one for 500 or less new from good shops. However there are some good deals on good used ones here. If you plan to carry i would go with the 23. I had a 22 but traded it for the 23 because it fit my hands better and is easier to carry.

I have a 22 and 27. Got the 27 for a carry gun. Found out that if I can get away with it, I carry the 22 more than the 27. I find that carrying a full size with a Raven holster is not much different from carrying the 27.

NO dog in this hunt but, Midwest has a new flier out. $599 for a Glock 17, 19,22,23,26,27 WITH Crimson Trace grips installed $599.

So, you can get a lot more for a lot less than $700!

Take a look at their new sale flier.

I have a 22 with the grip chopped down to a 23 size grip. I also have a 35 and love that too. Both my dad and my mom have their own 23s and those are good to shoot too. You really aren't going to go wrong with either. Hold one of each and see which one feels better to you.

I bought a 17 over the 19 recently for the full size that was just a little bigger. I shot my buddies gen 4 23 and really like it, but I wld get the 22 if you really want the .40. Def a personal prefference and the smaller one is lighter and a little smaller if you are going to CC it all day everyday. Either one is sweet - good luck.

I prefer the glock 27. I had a 19 (same size as 23 just 9mm) and felt it was too big for CC in the summer. However, I am VERY skinny. For most people the 19/23 are the best guns glock makes. If you go the full size route id rather get the 21.

I own a 22, a 23, and a 27. The G22 goes to the range sometimes but sits locked up most of the time. The G23 sits loaded in my nightstand, and my G27 is my every day carry. I wear it IWB year round and trust my life to it.

Any Glock chambered in .40 is a good self defense gun!
