Which Glock Handgun do yuo guys prefer? Trying to decide on a Glock 22 or 23 :draw:

It depends if size for carring or size for shooting is more important. 23 might be better to carry because of being smaller. I think the 22 is funner to shoot. Should be easy to find people that have these so you could shoot both and compare them.

Never owned a Glock 23. Had a Glock 22RTF and they are a really great firearm. I did have a friend that spanked me pretty well with his Glock 23 though!

Now, I much more prefer a Glock 21SF, 45ACP. Very nice, and lots of firepower! :)

13-15 rounds of .40 is more firepower than 13 rounds of .45:draw:

    I have yet to find a Glock I don't like! :D

Between the 2 you listed I prefer the 23. The G23 is my favorite Glock model. Love mine. G23 was the first Glock I purchased and I will never get rid of it!

Yes, but, there have been issues in the past with those 40 caliber Glocks that I will never face with the 13 rounds of 45 that I carry. They may have fixed the problem, but it was there, plain and simple.

I like the Glock 22, I just shoot the Glock 21SF much, much, better.

Everyone is different. The nice thing about carrying a Glock is that you can have enough for a long gun fight in just a few magazines! Not so much with a 1911. (And I love them too!)

Trying to be honest and practical is all......

I have a 22 that is sweet to target practice with but I dont see using it for cc.I've handled a 23 that seemed a better choice for cc,though not yet checked out a 27 sub-compact.I like the idea of having a full size model to practice with and a compact version to cc

If I had more money (so I could purchase guns for reasons other than SHTF and hunting) id have some 10mm.... ammo price/scarcity is the biggest negative in that category for me personally.

Forgive me if I missed it, but to the OP, did you figure out a caliber and or size you are specifically looking for?

It seems the value of used Glocks are on the decline as of lately. I remember when guys thought the more they were fired the more they were worth! But if I were to only own one I too would go with the .40. Ammo was more available in the 08 scare over all others. You may have a better handle on recoild with the larger framed 22. But the 23 would be an easier carry.

G23. I had a 27 and it was good, but a 23 just seems to fit better. Carried OWB or IWB, the 23 is comfortable and you're good to go on firepower.

One thing to note...all of your reload mags should be the full size version (G17/22), regardless of whether you're carrying a compact (G19/23) or sub-compact (G26/27). No reason not to, they fit, and those extra rounds never hurt.

NCO at 20? geez! My Glock 22 was from Midwest, my Mom's 23 was from Midwest, and my sister's 19 was from Midwest. If you go with a 22 check to see if they still have the used police models in their used case. they are cheaper and anything that is worn can be replaced pretty cheap. I would not spend more than $400 on a used stock Glock (with the G24 being my personal exception), there are enough out there in the used market that there is not much reason to pay more than that for one.

I had a 27 but the grip was a tad small for my liking. I now have a 23 gen 3 and would love to have a little grip work done to fit me better then stipple it. I just bought a Lone Wolf 9mm conversion barrel and tried it last week. That shot really nice and the ammo is so much cheaper. I was really lucky when I bought mine and I love the fact I have a nice pistol in two calibers for about 450 bucks.

    Good Luck

    NCO at 20?

That isn't so strange, I was one at 19! I had to have my dad sign for me to go in the Corps @ 17 1/2. That was August of 1973 and I was in the Combat Engineers, MOS 1371. Went to Iwakuni, Japan in April of 1974 and by May of 1975 I was an E4, Corporal, NCO.

Got PFC out of boot, Lance Corporal 8 months later and then May 2, 1975, Corporal meritoriously.

It ain't hard if you do what you're told! ;)

Congrats though Meechis, and thanks a ton for your service to us and our country! OOORRRRAAAAHHHHH!
