I would definitely get one. Not because it says CZ, but anything would be an improvement for the lame pony at this point. Agreed with earlier post, they really don't need to add to a saturated market. Focus on HG's and bolts for now. Quality over quantity.

I would hope they'd get colt to bring back the 6940P. Making some batches of the IAR upper would be sweet as well, something I wish I would have grabbed when I could.

But in all honesty, if it's no longer technically a colt, I don't like the idea of a colt rollmark on it.

Look forward to the new offerings. CZ mgmt will not allow things to just run as before. Exciting times for both companies.
CZ management announced that they will allow Colt management to run as before and to stay in CT as before.

I feel that, somehow, my message of peace and justice and firing Colt management is not getting out.

I have no problem with CZ branding, but what I want to see is ARs that bring actual quality to the table and are current to the times.

Hit me with, I dunno, a $1000 DD killer with a nice length rail, chrome lining, and some of those LMT-style BCG enhancements straight from the factory, with the QC to match. The 6920 was the meat and potatoes entry-duty grade gun for so long, get back to that but update it to today's market.

Now that CZ has acquired Colt, rumors they may launch some new AR platforms.

Would you rather own a CZ branded AR or a newer Colt by CZ AR?

personally, with the bad quality issues in the past I think they’d be better off releasing a CZ branded one, and I’d buy that one.
If we set aside “brand bias “ based on name alone, CZ has risen to the top tier of quality, while Colt (and other) previously “domestic” brands have declined a bit...if the quality is there I’d buy one. I’m all for innovation and improvement, would love to see more “made in the USA” firearms of true quality and not assembled from outsourced import parts. Just my opinion.

Personally, I would never buy up a failed business and then keep the whole management team in place, conducting business as usual.

But I'll take a CZ branded rifle, if its up to their usual standards.

I'm hoping that's the typical statement made by all companies that take over another and then the real action plan gets put into place, once some amount of reasonable transition has occurred (i.e. not letting current mgmt shred everything before they are escorted out the door).

We'll see. Seems like a bad business plan to allow the existing mgmt of a failed company to stay in place (as others have stated above).

We shouldn't take any chances. The only way to be safe is to . . . *wait for it* . . . fire Colt management immediately.

Really, firing Colt management works for any situation:

    1. Lost your keys, fire Colt management.
    2. Need to get in shape, fire Colt management.
    3. Dirty house, fire Colt management.
    4. Vehicles need tune ups, fire Colt management.
    5. Girlfriend and wife ghosting you, fire Colt management.

And, on and on and on, it is the one true panacea.
