A completely arbitrary and capricious decision by the weasels who run IPSC. They have some weak rationale, but there is no good reason for it.

Classic(turtle) shoot targets can not be more than 45 degrees canted from upright.
Metric targets can be set at any angle including upside down.

Shooting at upside down and angled targets is gonna get you killed in the streets....

With the Classic target the A zone is off center to the top, and if it is upside down you cannot really tell from any distance. So a shooter who was unaware that it was upside down could get two Delta instead of 2 alpha because he did not know.

Thanks to the shooters who came out and swam through the humid conditions. It did not rain but that was the only way it could be more humid than it was. The set up crew was lite this morning. Thanks to the RO's and the other who pitched in to run shooters and tear down. The scores are up. Look forward to seeing everyone next month.

The stages were fun and a little too challenging for my heat addled brain.
I'm sorry that Daniel missed the distance on bay 7 it was for him.

I counted 16 out of 60 shooters who did not have mikes on the distance. It got a lot of people. I got a stern talking to about the distance after the match.

Of those that shot the classifier only 15 were clean there.

Had a good time, still figuring out this whole production/minor scoring..man you walk away from a stage with
1 bravo and 6 charlies and you are down 14 points...almost the same as a mike

Great Squad today even with Boss and SV on our squad. Shooting was very subpar.
