Taurus 709 slim in a leather IWB holster. I dunno what brand...it's leather with a metal clip. I still feel new to carrying, and I'm pretty self-conscious about printing, so I don't carry all that often, especially if I think someone will notice in my little town or if I'm wearing anything other than jeans with a belt since I don't have a back-up carry method. I keep thinking I'll try an ankle holster, but I'm a klutz and afraid I'll trip myself! :)

Taurus M85ULT in the purse ALWAYS. I just bought a new purse that acts more like a fanny pack than a purse too. I don't like off-the-body carry, but at least I always have one with me.

When I remember to snug up, it's usually a Glock (26 or 21SF) in a Kydex. Though sometimes I go with the full size Kimber in a OWB leather. I don't draw a distinction between OC and CC. I don't generally tuck shirts in or wear tight shirts because I don't have the figure for it. So by default, all shirts cover a firearm. But I never worry about printing or shirts rising up to reveal either. I'm legal.

My big problem is that I'm really hippy and my natural waist is freakishly smaller than my hip width. I do not wear mommy jeans, so the belt always sits on the hip, putting the firearm at the widest, and consequently, worse, possible place for concealment. Part of the reason I developed a devil-may-care attitude about showing.

Not enough ladies get into shooting. I don't know if this is just because of our culture or what is percieved as normal through the media. It stinks though. I think you all should do more ladies only events or get togethers and try for each member to bring a friend. Peer pressure, but for a good cause.

I like the looks of that crossbreed. anyone with experience chime in. Hate trying new things without first hand knowledge of how it works.

I'm built the same way...makes it hard to carry my gun on me usually...though another thread has me thinking about trying an ankle holster

+1 totally....a lot of guys seem surprised when they find out I'm into guns, they seem to think it's cool, but still surprised. I think it's because society has told us that women are supposed to be soft and passive and let a big strong man protect us.....some of us don't have a big strong man to protect us anymore...Case in point, I drive an SUV, I put NRA decals on it. Posted the avitar pic with the comment (joking of course) being asking if that made me a gun toting redneck or ?...one friend commented that it just made me a freedom loving American, another commented that people would probably think I was driving a guy's truck. And I see her point, when I'm driving and I see an NRA decal, I assume it's a guy driving, and sometimes I'm wrong......I would totally be down for any kind of get together's or whatever, even got at least 1 friend I could drag along...as long as it's around Indy

This is my first gun (Kahr CW9) . I'm currently waiting on my pink paper to come in the mail.

My favorite color is purple, and since I can't type in purple (sarcasm) I thought what better than to have a purple ammo can to keep my ammo in. ( I don't think that hubby will be shooting out of it anytime soon.) :)

I don't think the guys intentionally have "guy only meet ups"...it just works out like that because chicks here are outnumbered. Ha!

As far as you wanting to meet up with others, it might be a good idea to put your location in your profile. Just a ball park area would do it... :yesway:

Our numbers are growing as more and more women acknowledge their love of firearms! :rockwoot:

could be acknowledge, or as in my case, realize they love guns, lol....I didn't grow up with them, my dad wouldn't even let us have pretend guns (3 tour Viet Nam vet). I was a Sr in HS I think before he broke down and got a BB gun for the skunks, when that stopped working, he got a .22 (don't know what brand). But I only shot it once, at a bucket. Other then that, I didn't worry about guns until my ex got me interested. So it might be lack of opportunity or lack of exposure that keeps a lot of women away from guns
