If they choose NOT to exempt police, can they keep you out unless you are on official business or are police automatically exempt from any firearm possession restrictions?:dunno:
True but it rarely comes up since I CC. Most places that like us on-duty, like us off-duty. But it is their choice. They usually don't mind because when the SHTF who do they run to first?

So, if you see a sign that says "No firearms allowed," you just go on in?

INDYBEERMAN: here is some of the issue that I had and some of the discussion about the public land. The inference was that Private Land and Private Property is subject to the Owner's whims.

    Mickey,

Thank you for the pictures. They have come through fine. We have been in contact with the Sportsman’s Caucus who is discussing the issue with the NRA. The language of the bill makes it appear they can restrict firearms so it was good you didn’t take yours on the premises. Here is the specific portion for your perusal.

Sec. 4. This chapter may not be construed to prevent any of the
    following:

    (10) For an event occurring on property leased from a
political subdivision or municipal corporation by the
promoter or organizer of the event:
    (A) the establishment, by the promoter or organizer, at the
promoter's or organizer's own discretion, of rules of
conduct or admission upon which attendance at or
participation in the event is conditioned; or
    (B) the implementation or enforcement of the rules of
conduct or admission described in clause (A) by a political
subdivision or municipal corporation in connection with
    the event.

Let me know if you have further questions. Thanks for bringing this to our attention.

And as a Result I send letters Yearly to places I would Patron at the Malls, but instead go to their Competitors. Just so they know why I did not shop at their Franchises…

The only way to get at the Simons is through their Wallets.

A buddy of mine carries his Hi Power in a shoulder rig. We were in a McDonald's, and the cashier said "Um, you can't bring that in here." Not seeing a sign on the door, he smiled and said "Sorry, didn't know." He handled it a lot better than the time I would have.

I'm waiting for the awkward moment when a door greeter asked "Are you going to pay for that?" and points to my concealed firearm. I'll resist the urge to say "What, the Second Ammendment? Its been paid for."

With the new law on the books about the Firearms Preemption, any private property can make the rules to their own property. Those rules make you subject to a trespassing charge if you violate their rules. I went over this with my state rep and was fairly disappointed. The County Fair grounds had the park posted with"ABSOLUTELY NO FIREARMS" posted at 2 of the vehicle entrances. With some strange turn of luck, we're screwed if the property is leased by a second group that wishes to post their rules. That's the pre emption law and that's that.

You can only be trespassed if you refuse to leave when asked, if I understand right. Just because a business has a "No guns" sign on the door doesnt mean you can be arrested for entering with a gun.

If it was concealed, how did he see it?

He is not that good at concealing the shoulder rig. I never said it was "concealed". More like worn with the leather strap across the the chest blatantly inviting people to look at his Browning under his arm in a loose-fitting vest.
He refrained from wearing mirrorshades, at least.
edit: Haven't had that happen to me yet. I"m a bit more mindful of concealing my carry weapon.
