It's not a fashion show. If you're going to the range to enjoy yourself, dress up like Batman if that's what makes you happy. Who cares what anyone else thinks?
What do you mean like batman? Who did you think I was that day? Heck I've got to stay proficient to. If I wasn't really batman I would have looked like a douche that day.:ar15:

Coming from the vantage of having to wear LBV in the field, I say put your junk on the table. Yeah, it may be fun for about five seconds then the reality of it being a major PITA will quickly set in.

When I was in the Army, we said train to fight, and fight as you trained ..... if this is what you wear in a gunfight, YOU had better be able to use it .... of course the bg, COULD just die of laughter ..... wish I could use purple ... but seriously, I would wear it, if that, is what I were going to USE .....

If the vest has a purpose, why not?

Now if you're going to go with a speedo, do everyone a favor and warn them with when and where you're going to shoot.

practice and train with any piece of gear you may use or find yourself dependent upon. That includes vests, chest rigs, battle belts, etc.

I say go for it. Anyone who makes comment is the douche.

Glock19 took my comment. Train in what you think you will fight in. If you think you will be able to fight your way to a vest and use it, then use it. But I loved watching people on the range, still arranging brand new gear that you KNOW they will never wear again, just cause it would make things easier. Or cause they seen Snake wearing it in Metal Gear, or so and so wears it in the Unit. Then watching the gear get caught up, and then before too long, they finally take it off and realize that its easier to go without. I know there is times that I have WANTED to ground my gear, cause it would be pounds less, degrees cooler and just more comfortable. But, I also know, that the best way to wring everything out is to take it out for test runs. It could run great at the house, but until you run in the gear, you will never know how it will react, or try to grab one mag for a rifle and come up with a pistol mag instead. Best time to do that is at a range. Just my :twocents:.
I have no problems with others running gear, its when they look foolish that i get a laugh. Or some just think they are all that and really arent close

I'm with Crispy, The vest is cool if you can back it up and handle your gun like you are supposed to be wearing it. Otherwise,...
