Looks like our stupid bill will pass today most likely. This statement quoted above also means unless magpul has plans to move to Indiana already they most likely wont be going there either. New tax credits and politics take to long for a company to move to Indiana. They will just move, prob to Texas.

They've already said they're looking to Wyoming or Montana. They've already said they have an interim plan already in place. That means they've already made a deal somewhere. Laramie's only a little over an hour away. That's my guess.

Magpul doesn't employ all that many people, but they farm out the manufacturing work to other companies, including a very large one here who has also threatened to leave, which is more like 1000 jobs.

Magpul may or may not leave, but I disagree with Kirk that their threat has to do with driving up prices. They are trying to pressure the Colorado legislators into not passing the bill by making it politically tougher. There is some evidence that this will work on some level, by either giving the Colorado Senate cover by NOT passing the bill, or by giving Republicans a stick in the next election if jobs are lost.

People moving to our State have changed its political makeup over the last twenty years. I hope this activates some people not normally active.

dross, if things become too bad, we're willing to offer you political asylum here in Indiana.

Can we have an official ceremony? We can make rhino wear a sash like Mayor McCheese.
You won't make him do interpretive dance during the post-ceremony festivities, will you? If so, we need time to post a disclaimer:

"The following scenes may be disturbing to some viewers. Discretion is advised, etc."

I guess CO's changed a lot since I was there on active duty. Cross that state off the list now for vacations and potential job move when I finish my studies.
I just informed my "guide service" where I hunt Muleys that I NO LONGER can use them because of the new legislation against our 2A rights from Colorado.
Though not a large company and great hunting with great people I've been using for over 23 years now I can't spend any money in those states that p.ss on our rights.
I even apologized to them but I'll have to "be true to myself" first and foremost.
I did tell them that when these fascists are removed and the legislation is rescinded I'll be more than happy to renew our relationship.
This is going to be a long fight and I'm in for the duration in any way I can do my part.
I urge all to do the same where applicable.

In my opinion, this has nothing to do with safety or saving children. I know it sounds awfully tin-foil hat based, but I think the government knows it's only a matter of time before the economy collapses and they are trying to disarm as much of society before it happens as they can. When the economy collapses, a disarmed people can be herded around as fits the government needs. An armed people present a problem to them.

They play commercials telling us how we should have a bug out bag to be able to displace quickly if we need to, but they say nothing about how to become more resilient in our homes. In a disaster or collapse, they don't want people staying in their homes, they want them to move to FEMA centers where they can be kept and controlled. An armed people will keep bug out bags, but they will have them so they can avoid a FEMA camp instead of to make their live comfortable in one.

The Republican Party is made up of optimists that think we can steer away from the calamity coming. The liberal democrats are pessimists that think there is no way to avoid the collapse, so their plan is to tax and spend as much as possible to buy bullets for the government while cutting the supply of weapons and bullets to the citizens. They want to spend to bolster government safety, not safety for anyone else. Neither party is right.

These abuses of the 2nd Amendment have nothing to do with trying to fix gun violence. It's simply the governments way of prepping for the storm.

I don't think it's tin foil hat stuff. Numerous Democrats have stated openly their end game is total disarmament. Chief among them Dianne Feinstein. Other less than honest Democrats (the president for example) and even foreign anti freedom entities (Piers Morgan example) say they don't want to infringe on the 2A while openly advocating gun control measures that are obvious efforts for eventual disarmament.

Another nail in the coffin for the 2A. The Democrats have a plan, steal freedom one step at a time, one state at a time.

Only one of the mindless sheep that actually listen to the Liberal Biased media could believe this is anything other than an effort to disarm America.

    and elsewhere....

This just goes to prove that CO has become a dump for Liberal Democrats fleeing the mess they created in CA. Now they are hell bent on destroying CO as well.

Californians have fled to to Montana, Idaho, and Texas too. Once they fall we are in serious trouble.

Oh wait.....Like a plague of locusts they are.

It was my understanding it passed the house on Friday and the Senate yesterday (Monday) but I could be mixed up. Pretty sure it's just waiting on Hickenlooper's signature.

I understood it passed house on Monday and was headed to the senate. But the Senate is also Democrat majority. So chances are it will be headed for signature by Friday. Oh and apparently bipartisanship in this case means Republicans knuckle under.

    Nope!!
Not one of the twenty eight Republicans voted for the bill and three Democrats voted with the Republican minority.
The final vote was 34/31 which is only one vote over the minimum needed to pass the bill.
