There is the real danger in this, mental illness is far too subjective to hang a constitutional right upon

Definition. By Mayo Clinic Staff. Mental illness refers to a wide range of mentalhealth conditions — disorders that affect your mood, thinking and behavior. Examples of mental illness include depression, anxiety disorders, schizophrenia, eating disorders and addictive behaviors.Oct 13, 2015

Depression, anxiety, aren't smoking and drinking addictive behaviors? Something like this in the hands of people whose agenda is to eliminate access to firearms wherever possible is incredibly arbitrary and dangerous

At what firearm and/or ammunition count can we declare that someone has a hoarding disorder or some other mental health issue

And please recall that not so long ago things like homosexuality were considered mental disorders according to the Daignostic and Statistical Manual

Would it concern you at all to know that the NiMH disagrees strongly with the DSM-5?

wait till the left can claim a person "mentally unsound" simply because they are a conservative.

There are no boundries with these people.

We need to never forget these actions by the Obama Administration. Next time a consideration for pulling the lever for a D, NEVER FORGET!

I'm starting to wonder if the POTUS doesn't have some sort of protection similar to that of judges where they can't be held accountable (criminally) for their actions after he leaves office. He continues down this path and it certainly wouldn't be too difficult to put a case together for treason as he seems to be making every effort to betray and undermine this country.

I hope Trump sends his personal jet to pick all of diplomats from Russia up and flies them to his inauguration before moving them back in. Just to spite the dirtbag.

Huh? It would be easier to tap dance on the sun than to put a case together for treason, at least according to the way Treason is defined in the Constitution. How does expelling diplomats or abstaining in a UN vote constitute giving aid or comfort to an enemy, or waging a war against the nation. You gotta be pretty creative to make that stick.

There are many more things going on than expelling Russians and abstaining from a UN vote. Hell I'm glad we abstained from the UN vote, I wish we'd continue doing that until it is dissolved.

If he did something that qualifies as treason, then he should certainly be held accountable. Many, and I'm not saying you, are calling his unpopular policies treason. Obviously, I think that's a bit over the top.

You do know there's a pretty much a consensus between Republicans and Democrats about punishing Russia, and many think he's not being harsh enough.
Meh ... combined political gamesmanship and pissing match

Obama's Russia sanctions put Hill Republicans in a box - POLITICO

"The goal is to force Republicans into a tough spot in which they can either soften their long-standing animosity toward Russia, opening themselves to charges of hypocrisy — or defy Trump, who on Wednesday dismissed efforts to punish Russia by saying “we ought to get on with our lives.”

Not a principled position in the bunch, but you knew that

Obama is acting like a disgruntled soon to be ex spouse

Exactly! Polictically shrewd and triangulated with precision? Yurp.

Statesmanlike and in the best interest of the United States? Not a chance.

Obama (and Clinton) have been pwn'ed by Putin since day one... and Putin's non-response to the feckless lame-duck president's latest actions continue the rout.
