I was noticing on Parabellum's site that they had a deal where you could rent several pistols and get 100 rounds of ammo for $65. Seems like a good deal. It was an event, not something they offer everyday.

I did the 9mm Smorgasboard once before. It was fun and I enjoyed getting a chance to try a bunch of different guns. Around half the guns are the compact guns, and there were a number of Glocks.

My buddy is in the market for a SIG P320. I haven't shot one myself, but he has and said he loves it. They are comfortable in the hand and he says quit accurate. I'll stick to carrying my Glock.

CZ makes awesome pistols. CZ 85 Combat would my choice and the a P-07. They may not be selling the 85 Combat any longer however. No disconnect and a smooth trigger like the original model 75 without the firing pin block on the newer models.

I went to Tim's Shooting Academy this morning. Very nice people there. I tested out the FNX9 and the HK VP9.

I wanted to like the FNX9, but I didn't. The grip was fine while holding it, but when I shot it the grip became annoying to me. The trigger was very nice though. It bugged me that the FNX9 didn't thrill me more because I wanted to like it, but in the end I just didn't.

The VP9 on the other hand, I picked up, and it felt nice, the trigger was great, and I really liked the gun. So far with the guns I have tried this is the one I shot the best with so far. I almost walked out of Tim's with a VP9. Right now this gun is at the top of my list to buy.

You cant go wrong with HK. Yes, you could be called a snob, but they do make EXCELLENT guns.

So I made my decision today. I went with the VP9. I picked it up from Tim's where I rented one yesterday. I didn't have time to shoot it, besides first I need to clean it since it was brand new and has the factory grease still on it.

Nothing wrong with the VP9. I can actually shoot my VP9 a little faster than my G19's but carry the 19 because I have a ton of mags for them and there's way more options for sights and holsters

It's interesting to see the variation the grips have with different people. Simple changes can quickly make or break the comfort for someone.

The VP9 was my number 2 choice after the PPQ but before the P320. I imagine I may end up with both of those two as well.

I tried both the PPQ and the P320. Both were great guns. The P320 RX was a heavy gun though. The PPQ was nice, but not outstanding in any way. Shoot all three and see what you think though.

I didn't expect to like the VP9 as much as I did.

I had a PPQ M1 and currently have the P320 compact. Really like both. I would like to try the new CZ P 10 . There are a lot of affordable handguns in the marketplace these days---If only I had money...

The P320 does have some weight to it. I probably would have bought the VP9 if I hadn't held the PPQ M2. It just fits like a glove.

Ultimately after touching lots of options while searching with my better half for hers, a Walther PPS (hers) and a PPQ (mine) went home with us last weekend.

Cameramonkey and I went out this weekend to Parabellum. I put over 150 (maybe 200) rounds though the VP9. He noticed when he shot it was a bit to the right. For me it was right on though. This might be because I am left eye dominant but right handed.

Saturday was a great day to go out shooting.

Yep. Glad we went. It was consistently off by 2" to the right, no matter which hand I shot with. Looking carefully it apeared that the rear sight was more right than left. But I agree; If its not broke for the owner, dont fix it.
