Is there any thought given to going with 2 officers per car?
Don't know about that, but I could go with 3 or more prisoners per cell. The perp, plus the judge, prosecutor and/or parole board members responsible for putting them back out on the street. All should receive the same sentence.

Great idea but in some areas, county PDs only have 2 deputies on the road at any given time. Even where the manpower numbers are better, there are seldom enough officers to answer the increasing number of calls they are receiving.

I have great respect -and mixed feelings- for the restraint these officers had to have used knowing they were encountering someone who had just shot one of their own. I'll not waste my time searching for the de-funders crying about police brutality or excessive use of force. They can't say shat about LE who bring in someone alive that they should have shot on sight.

All men are created equal. I truly believe that to be true. From that moment on however, all bets are off.

Noah Shahnavaz's life was worth the lives of 100 pieces of **** like Carl Board. I hope he endures a pain so severe that he begs for death every day for years before enjoying the most painful death imaginable and fades into nonexistence. His corpse will be more valuable as fertilizer than his soul ever was as a human being, that's for damned sure.

All men are created equal by their Creator.

What each man chooses to do after that is up to each man.

A brief check indicates this thug was convicted for firing on ISP in the past.

These thugs are free and wandering about all around.
If these animals will kill police, do you think they fear us? And some are trying to do serious damage to our ability to defend ourselves.

God bless and receive this officer into His loving arms. Give peace and comfort to his family.

Most departments don't have sufficient personnel to accomplish it.
Even if departments did have enough personnel, nobody would want to give up the take home car as it is one of the benefits of the job. Not to mention any friction it could cause among officers being partnered up.
At least that's my thoughts from the outside looking in

You can still have take homes. Just meet at roll call. And you put officers that get along, together.
