Yes I know the area. One of my favorite gun stores in in Kokomo.Welcome from Warsaw. Used to live between Kokomo and Marion. Still head down there on occasion.
INGO is a great community of like minded people who care about our freedoms and safety. It is also an excellent place to share ideas and learn new things.
That would be great! Actually hoping to become a memeber thereI don't usually post on the welcome forums but it is nice to see someone local. There are a few from our area here, some of them are even decent people.
Once things slow down for me maybe we can have a meet and greet at Deer Creek.
Now back to lurking in the shadows for me.
I do sincerely take your advice... sometimes my fingers get to walking and just don't stopThank you for accepting the advice as it was intended. Some people bristle at any kind of advice here designed to make it a better experience for all no matter how well intentioned they are.
Otherwise carry on. I like reading and value your perspective especially coming from the viewpoint of a female, I wish there were more like you to contribute here.
Thank you. Hope you're a bit warmerHello & Welcome from "Down South"
Thank you this seems to be a good place to beWelcome from Mitchell.
Nice to meet another dog lover. Beautiful.Welcome to INGO. I honestly believe most folks here a bit 'teched in the hade', but the ones I've met personally are pleasant people. Just don't let anyone talk you into putting pineapple on your pizza. UBU. INGO is a nice place to hang out. BTW, dog at left is my 114 lb Golden Retriever, Wrigley. She is a sweet baby.
Hi neighbor... will keep that in mind. Thanks!Welcome from Kokomo. I work at Marion Metal Center but have been on protracted sick leave. I'm also an armorer and if you'd like to shoot a S&W 5 shot .38 with trigger kit installed and smoothed, let me know.
Oh I have muc to learn. I want to just work my way up in distance slowly ... I'm sure I will need to hire someone to teach me.Well now, that raises more questions.
How far do you consider "long(er) range"?
Some consider long range to be 600+ yards, some says it's 1000 yards
Others will say 150 yards is long range gorgeous them.
The term is somewhat subjective.
Also, what do you want yo do at "long(er) range"?
Do you just want to put holes in paper, or do you want the ability to put holes in other targets at distance
I only ask because it's always best to match the tool to the job at hand.
Likely no need to hire anyone.Oh I have muc to learn. I want to just work my way up in distance slowly ... I'm sure I will need to hire someone to teach me.
Thank you... Yes you would be a bit far. Hopefully to find someone close by.Likely no need to hire anyone.
I am willing to bet there are a half dozen people or more here on Ingo that would be happy to mentor you in your quest.
It wouldn't surprise me a bit if they even have the firearms for you to try, so you wouldn't need to buy something you're not familiar with.
I know I enjoy teaching others to shoot.
I get as much pleasure from teaching as the student, if not more.
I would offer my services but I think the distance might be a deterrent.
Start a thread and explain your desires.
Someone here will answer your call.
Thank you I'm enjoying it and leaning things alreadyAh, Welcome aboard!
