I’ve only hunted bourbon for a few months. I Went to Total Wine off keystone over the weekend. Very affordable juice compared to most. Nothing too unobtainable though.
^^^^^^ Listen to this guy..
Great resource at the OG
If you are going to use the 12 gauge I'd recommend a .665-.675" Choke tube for a starting point. The long beard ammo has brought a lot of life to poor shooting guns. If you do choose to go with a 20 gauge, you're really looking at shooting...
I also run vmax. Usually a small entry, expends energy, no exit.
I like the red LED lights for scanning and green for shooting. I've watched video of people running all kinds of lights. I wouldn't overthink this.
Sit still, play the wind, scan slowly. Some people run their call loud. Some...
Lets see some pictures of your coyote rigs. I have the tried and true .22-250 and a few ARs I've put together. I'll say that the coyote is one critter that isn't easy to hunt.
New rig that hasn't been broken in yet
Wifes AR. I don't usually hunt with this one. We've had several chickens...
I'm not crazy about that Remington ammo. I received it as a gift.
I've provided enough time to Franklin to respond. I'm going to call them and ask. I tried three different springs and 3 buffers of varying weights. I feel like its under gassed personally.
BUT .. I did look up that Spikes T2...
I do enjoy a good reason to add to the collection... I'd say go with a bolt action .243 for an all around deer rifle. It would double as a good coyote gun.
Guy on another forum....
Welcome aboard Al.
In the video, it look like it's get some gas, just not enough to get the bolt all the way back. The fact that you can hand cycle the spent round tells you what you already probably have determined. The spent cases are not seized in the chamber...
My recommendation is to go to a local store and look through several. The glass quality, warranty, quality, features, etc. come into play. I can say Vortex has a no question asked warranty. Drop it out of a treestand, run it over with your truck, house fire and anything unintentional is covered...
Just to elaborate... The brass is staying in the chamber. It will eject properly when cycled by hand.
We took a video of the action... We now see that the bolt is not coming back far enough.

I took the buffer and spring out of 4 ARs last night.

I also use a tool roll. It keeps them in their individual pocket, easy to transport, and it works great for stacking in the safe. Ren Wax is great stuff for long term storage. I use a Hoppes gun oil on stag handles and user blades. I haven't had any concern with discoloration until now but...
