I think it falls back to training, safety and the holster. With the proper training with the carry holster, this can go a long way. Personally, I carry a Glock for my job, but the holster has extra security with it for retention, etc. Carry it how you are comfortable with it...

I have a Walther PPK (smaller than PPK/S) in .380 ACP (9mm Kurz) caliber. It comes with 2 original magazines, original factory molded box, manual, cleaning rod and factory test target.
These are getting harder to find in solid stainless in the .380 ACP. Small and light and easy...

Let me know if you have something like this around the Columbus area.

I saw a bunch of plastic mags at the Rural King in Columbus for about this price. They looked VERY cheap. Not sure if the OP was referring to these or not. They had STACKS of them.
I sold my mosin, but I didn't shoot it much. I heard that having the bayonet on it does make a difference with accuracy when shooting it. Can't help you much beyond that.
Yeah, I agree with the Phase 2 assessment. The ammo is starting to show up on the shelves. Just be patient. When the greedy ammo hoarders are finished filling up their shelves at inflated prices, the rest of us will get a chance at a better deal...just be patient.
Don't jump ship just yet. I have used Remington for about 20 years, but recently purchased 2 Mossberg 500s. I shot both Mossy's and I really liked the action. Be patient with the Mossy's and see what's out there. They may grow on you like they did me!
