      I agree. We kill 6-8 adult deer every year to try to avoid spending money on meat at the store. I do enjoy the thrill of hunting a big buck though. Especially when i only have to walk a couole hundred yards from the house.

      Yeah im not as concerned about how ethical anyone thinks it is. Ive had plenty of opportunities to kill deer from the house, even during bow season. To each their own. Im more concerned about the legalities of it.

      ** OFFICIAL 2014 DAILY DEER HUNT CHAT**

      Last years and this years. Both taken first sunday am of gun season. About 100 yards apart. Top is this year 10 point 127 5/8 3 1/2 years old dressed at 179lbs Bottom is last year 11 point 138 5/8 4 1/2 -possibly 5 1/2 years old dressed at 206lbs Huntington county private land.

      What round for .44 mag rifle?

      I prefer the winchester 240gr JSP 1 inch groups at 100 yards I've killed 16 deer with them. 4 at over 160 yards. I agree with earlier post that 44 leaves small blood trails but they are very accurate and lethal. I always get clean pass throughs. I'm using a ruger 77/44 with nikon pro staff.

      My first wall hanger!!

      Shot this 10 point in Huntington county Sunday morning at 8am. Double lunged him at 145 yards with my ruger 77/44.
