      If you were going to buy an M1A...

      I would go with James River Armory, if you want a classic M14... Or Bula Defense if you want a modern. The receivers are both made at Bula and everything is Forged... JRA has standard barrels and 19.25inch barrels. The 19 inch barrels are still very handy.... Bula has 16inch barrels as well...

      CZ Scorpion EVO Carbine

      I played around with one at the NRA convention (plus the bren rifle). It was a very nice 9mm carbine. It was even better with all the extras that are already available (cz custom triggers, ak style right side safety, etc).
