      Who misses Fetla's?

It was so cluttered and spread out they had yellow footprints on the floor so you could follow them to the bathroom!

      Walther PPQ M2

Finally had a chance to get out and shoot my new gun Wednesday night, a PPQ M2 with a 4" barrel. I am really happy with this one. Has a really nice trigger and the shortest reset I have ever felt. I know I have just started shooting pistols a couple years ago, but this is a good one.

      Magazine suggestions

I am new to hand guns. I spent 5 years as an Army medic 30 years ago and our weapon was an M-16. My son sold me a gen 3 Glock 19 Late last year. I got a dad discount, so for $ 250 I couldn't say no, Lol. We had shot about 200 rounds through it and he decided he liked his 23 better, go figure. I...

      Ruger American

Has anyone here fired one of these in 9mm yet. I just started shooting hand guns 2 years ago when my son got home from the Air Force. I was an Army medic in the 1980s and we had an M16 issued to us so I never really shot hand guns before this. I used his guns at the range and have been kicking...

      Tinnitus is driving me crazy

I have varying degrees depending on the days. 5 years as a medic with a tank company years ago didn't help. Latley I seem to have a low grade buzzing going on. Sounds like a refrigerator compressor when it is running from across the room. This is new, I still catch myself looking for what the...

      wood burner experiment

We heat with a Vermont Castings Defiant. 1200 sq. ft one level. Have been burning wood for 10 years. I set the gas furnace for 60 degrees in case the fire goes out. Our natural gas bill stays the same summer or winter. If I run the damper open, I can get a 60-70 degree rise from outside temps...

Store clerk OC. How do you feel about it?

Many years ago up here in South Bend we had a B.B.Q. joint called "Archies" older African-American fella owned it in a part of town that also had several strip joints nearby. He O.C. a big ole pistol on his hip. Not only that, he made you "park between the lines" in the parking lot. Would not...

Nancy Grace and her guests know nothing about firearms

Nancy DISgrace is a joke. Unfortunatly, by being on a Large network, her word will be the gospel to many sheeple. Unfortunatley, she is a danger to the judicial process when she decides who is guilty and then uses the network pulpit to prosecute the defendant in the media. If she was a former...

      Reply from Donnelly

Here is a differant response I got: Dear Mr. Myers, I am a supporter of the Second Amendment, and I have voted to protect the rights of law-abiding gun owners. Like all Americans, I was shaken to my core by the senseless murders of 20 children in Newtown, Connecticut. It is only reasonable for...

Donnelly... when did he change sides?

Here was my reply: April 1, 2013 Dear Mr. Myers, I am a supporter of the Second Amendment, and I have voted to protect the rights of law-abiding gun owners. Like all Americans, I was shaken to my core by the senseless murders of 20 children in Newtown, Connecticut. It is only reasonable for...

Thousands of broken arms in Boston tonight

My own opinion, Law enforcment got the job accomplished. From the point of detonation, I think our Gov. did a good job. They found 2 individuals out of thousands in a chaotic situation and linked the bombs to them. Within a few days, they were dead or caught. I think we as Americans, think that...

Anyone nervous about going to the range?

As a prior service member, I still retain a slight paranoia when I am out. I am definatly aware of my surroundings, whether in a parking lot or on a gun range. It never hurts to do situational assesments in your head.

      Working Overnights

I didn't like midnights, never could figure out when to sleep. I now work 4pm to 4am. 2days on 2 days off. I stay on the same schedule when I am off. Too hard switching back and forth. I have the advantage that the kids are grown and out of the house. I don't know if I could keep up with school...

      First time buyer

good post. I am just getting into handguns with my son. He purchased a 9mm and a 40 cal Glock. We fired them for the 1st time last week. Prior to shooting, I "thought" I was not a 9mm fan! OOOPs, I found out it hit where I aimed almost every time. And I had never shot a handgun before. Glock was...
