I'm flexible on the $1000 budget. If I can get a good decent 1st AR15 for less and use remaining $$$ on magazines, that's great. If it's just for the AR itself and I have to wait to save up $$ for accessories that's fine.
I've learned from my hunting experience that it doesn't hurt to buy...
Hello!
I'm looking at purchasing my first AR. Main use would be for home defense combine with trying to beat the rush of the political election. I would also like to try my hand at three gun competition as means to become proficient in using the AR platform.
What are some good brands that...
Thank you all to have help! Coach from Parabellum has responded back to my email regarding training courses for CCW. I think between taking those classes and trying IDPA that I will be on my way to becoming a responsible and safe ccw. I like my 1911, invested in hand loading the 45acp. Now...
Thank you to all who have replied.
rhino, while I like the 1911 I don't believe it's perfect and want to become more familiar with it's strengths and weakness. And yes, I agree with you regarding limited ammo capacity. It was challenging at my first IDPA match running 8 round while everyone...
I have never carry conceal before. Have used handguns as mostly range guns, revolves, DA/SA, striker fire, and 1911s. Have started using my 1911s in IDPA now. New to hand loading and reloaded 500 rounds of 45acp that I used in competition. For IDPA, mainly looking to be safe with pistol and...
Hello Everyone,
I've applied for my ccw. I want to carry my 1911 and looking for an instructor who's familiar with this platform that you could recommend that's in the Indianapolis area. Thank you for any help you can give.

I've been trying to stock up on reloading supplies as the budget allows. I try to consolidate components where ever I can. For example try to find powder that can be used in both my 223rem and 308win rifles and 38/357mag and 45acp handguns. Along the same lines try to find alternative...
I have RCBS 44mag die set. Light used. Only load about 500 round with it before deciding 44mag was too much handgun for me.
Also looking to trade some Rem 7.5 primers for either CCI 500 primers or WLP primer.
Thank you!

I'll keep my 308win rifle then, thanks for the feedback. I don't think I'll convert it as I could use that money to buy another rifle. So it looks like a pistol cartridge lever action is in my future then. Lever actions seem very southpaw/left handed friendly. Fellow southpaw input regarding...
Thank you for everyone who replied so far.
Some more information. I like my 308win Ruger Hawkeye. As IndyDave1776 pointed out, left hand rifles are difficult to find.
Financially, I don't need to sell the 308win to purchase another firearm.
I also have a left hand 223rem Ruger Hawkeye so...
Hello Everyone,
My first post here on IN gunowners. I'm originally from Pennsylvania where we could use high power rifles for hunting. Now that I've moved to Indiana which doesn't allow high power rifles for deer hunting. My rifle in question is a left handed Ruger Hawkeye in 308Win.
My...
