What's On Your Current "I Want It!" List?

Don't know why but a smaller fixed blade intrigues me. Been thinking about a mini Aurora. Something about the blade shape and I really like the polished convex look. Almost like a large paring knife that is tough enough for bushcraft and camp use. My PM 2 ruined me for other folders. I try...

      1500

Went yesterday after skipping the last couple. Stumbled upon the INGO booth and met Churchmouse and Rhoadie who were quite hospitable (sorry if I am damaging any reputations) and signed the target in the area a lot of my rounds end up from my current EDC. I have made some poor choices at...

Best Indoor Range - Indy ?????

Be careful with your time at Indy Arms. I left the lane with about two to three minutes to spare went to settle up and there were a couple of pairs ahead of me and while in line went over the hour. They charged me extra. When I questioned they said they go by when you check out at the...

      I have no clever title...

Also, can anyone compare the PM2 to the Manix 2? I've had a PM2 for over a year and I edc it almost exclusively. I purchased Manix 2 light weight as a gift and tried it out in the pocket. I felt a notice le difference in the pocket presence between the two. While the ?anix 2 is lighter, it...

      It sounded so nice...

Silver Shells! I have stayed there twice and loved it. Sorry for your troubles. Maybe the unit owner will rebate a couple days off your stay? Or if there are cabanas available maybe they will kick in one for a few days. They make a great base from which to operate.

Chinese terra-forming in the South China Sea

Has Japan been piling up sand on natural reefs, topping them with air bases and claiming it's new island territory along with a 12 mile air/sea exclusion zone? If so I am against that too.

What's a good EDC knife for a girl?

Bought my daughter a Benchmade triage with the sheeps foot blade. I liked the fact it has a built in glass breaker and belt cutter.

      Career change suggestions

Sales? Industrial chemicals, lab supplies etc? As others may have mentioned, it sounds like the IDEM could be a nice fit with your expertise.

Threes Company...what would you pay for the complete series?

I think clay targets are cheaper, higher visibility, and they are about the same size as those DVDs. I would just go that route instead.

Chinese terra-forming in the South China Sea

A few weeks ago I read that China was looking to deploy some cruiser sized "Coast Guard" ships to the disputed areas to shoulder other vessels out of the areas. Amazing what some white paint will do. They could certainly have their way with the destroyers we have been using to assert...

      Sig p938

I have had the eqinox since March. I carry it in a simple Remora holster and carry some in pocket but mostly waistband. I have hiked and ridden (peddled) miles with it. It conceals very well and I almost forget I have it sometimes. I love the sights and have carried cocked and locked the...

      Survival... mouse traps?

I would not count on catching squirrels. They are tough smart hombres. I probably have a 10:1 squirrel to chipmunk ratio (started out 3:1 :)) and I have never caught one. I set out 5 traps and there are many times all 5 are cleaned out and/or tripped and empty.

      Survival... mouse traps?

We use the T Rex rat traps for chipmunks. We bait with apple and a little peanut butter. We also have a lot of squirrels around. Every once in a while I will hear a lot of commotion and angry squirrel sounds, but they always get out. Over two years we have caught a lot of chipmunks, but...

      Flashlights!!!

Thanks for the heads up. I've had mine a little under 2 months so I can't claim longevity, but I do carry it most every day. I will report back here if it fails in the next few months. If you are familiar with Nitecore's features, are there any others you carry around that price range (give...

      Flashlights!!!

Wow. Just read through the thread and was surprised that Nitecore only made an appearance toward the very end. I am new to flashlights but bought a Nitecore EC21 at the last gun show and I love it. I love the red led option. I use it in the car and very handy for navigating around the...

      Religion vs prepping

I haven't done much prepping at all. In fact my family is making a real first try at gardening (albeit in containers) this year. I saw a couple posts allude to something I have considered if things go south. That is in the area of tithing. I don't think that command stops at money and...

      Carrying on a boat

The rules in the link makes reference to a validly licensed handgun. What is that?
