      BTW, when younger and not fighting cancer, I reloaded for 40 different calibers. I did do experience with steel & alum. cases, but it was just an experienment. At 73 I just screw around with such as this, no time left.

      No reason for me to reload steel cases, I have an inventory or over 10thousand 45 acp cases. Little over 5 thousand 38 spec. Few thousand 30/30. How many .223? No Idea but I deprimed & tumbled 2 5 gal.pails, & 4 milk jugs. I couldgo on with .32 ACP, 9 MM Oh my god, the boxes are endless...

      Want to go on the cheap? Buy a Lee Pacesetter 2 die set, remove the primer punch and use it like a Lee Loader with a mallet, use a rod to remove the case, remember to lube the case, very important. Then if in the future if you do buy a press you already have the dies anyway. I reload for both...

      Cast vs plated

      For handguns I use nothing other than PC coated bullets. I do all the PC'ing myself. Much cleaner than straight cast & much cheaper than plated.

      Primers? Remove them and press them into brass cases. It's a primer, not a bomb.

      Lee Loader Fun

      Nothing wrong with a Lee Loader, however I do use a Lee Primer for the priming step. One note DO NOT use a steel hammer, use brass or even better yet hard nylon. Frankly I use a old ash hammer handle. Works for me.
