    After 80 responses There's probably not much I can add, but i'd get the .45. Nothin wrong with 9mm, but i'd still get the .45.

    Wanted to go sooo bad today, but it was raining like crazy, just my luck!! I have 250rds of federal 115gr FMJ (Walmart) and 100rds of Fedral Hydrashock 147gr. Running them all through on Thursday I hope!!

    has your research taken you anywhere around terminal ballistics yet?..cause the 9mm with either heavy loads around 1000fps or the lighter (124g) at +p loadings come in around 1200-1280 both put down about the same impact as a 180g 40...45s are the only choice if 9mm is too small...the 40 cal is for fence sitters...i choose 9mm for speed and accuracy...inherently more accurate than a 45...in the average shooters hand...
