Apparently Bersa unveiled a new line of 9mm short barred pistols and carbines at Shot Show. The first handgun I ever bought was a Bersa. I can't say I didn't have some issues with it, but these look kind of interesting. Especially with an MSRP of under $600.

    Interesting.

I actually really liked my old Bersa Thunder, sure it was rough but I still really liked it for whatever reason.

I've actually thought about getting another and trying to smooth it out and clean it up some.

I have a couple of Bersa Thunders and like them both.
One is a .380acp model and the other one is a .32acp.
Both have been reliable and accurate enough.

    Oh yeah,
    That's interesting...

    4" Barrel. 17 rounds. $699??
I would just buy a Glock and put a red dot on it. Just me.
Especially if you get a Glock 19L or a Glock 34, either will give you better bullet performance with the longer barrel. I've got a 34 and have out shot guys, accuracy-wise, with shorter-barreled, shoulder-fired 9mm's at the range. They were using red dots vs my iron sights, but I suspect they were trying to shoot 'fast' instead of 'smooth' and got a little crazy with their shot placement? But when accuracy matters, take the time to place the shots, don't just pop-off!

I've had two (2) Bersa Thunder .380's and they were great shooting little pistols...they are just little PPK's for a lot less $$...but they work great! We got out of the little calibers back in 2009 and .380 acp was just not a caliber we picked back up due to availability, cost, lower performance, etc. The Bersa was a nice little pistol though!
