Many TV stations would rather their news articles sell advertising than state the facts or attempt to educate the listeners.Greetings Folks:
My first post here after Indiucky got me to sign up. Thanks for all of the supportive comments on wrapping up that half-wit who was going to steal my car last weekend. If you've missed the Wave3 news story, here's the link to the interview: Homeowner holds alleged thief at gunpoint during burglary - wave3.com-Louisville News, Weather & Sports . Now, I wasn't too happy with the edits, since they left out the quote from Indiana's Constitution: "The right of the people to bear arms for the defense of themselves and the defense of the State shall not be infringed." Not that there was ever a real argument in the 2nd Amendment as to who the "militia" might be, but Indiana avoided using that term. I also quoted the home defense statute that (more or less) a person may use deadly force if they reasonably believe that force is necessary to terminate or prevent an unlawful entry of or attack upon their dwelling or curtilage. So, curtilage is the area around your home, including, like at my place, a detached garage. I had hoped the Wave3 folks would want to do a little educating, but they stuck to the "sensational" part rather than adding the legal end of it. Looking forward to trading notes with everyone here. Thanks

I've returned to carrying my S&W 629 Trail Boss, 3" barrel, Magnaported 6 shot, which Indiucky (Cheers, Pal) is responsible for supplying me with a few years ago.

since this is a gun forum, not a beauty contest.
Yes, I have a K-22 that was my Uncle's and Rick can certainly outshoot me double action with his little buddy.
He'd have probably been well within his rights to shoot the guy. How fast can a punk pull a concealed weapon and do the homeowner before he can blink an eye? He's a lawyer and felt confident enough to say he said the three count twice on local TV and not worry about it...Maybe your right but Garrett didn't seem worried at all while being interviewed about it....

Welcome to the site, Joe. Very interesting story. Just one question though; why didn't the cops offer you a donut?Greetings Folks:

Same reason you wouldn't offer him any .22 ammo. Some things are just too precious to give up.Welcome to the site, Joe. Very interesting story. Just one question though; why didn't the cops offer you a donut?
