Carry license crap is getting stupid

act, I think that was a state deal, not just Portage. In the late '80's I remember having to do that in St. Joe county

I was in Portage around 1994 or so.

Back in the day, Portage made you enter a reason you "needed" your license.
Because there was no entry space for that, you were supposed to TYPE it on the back.

2 counties born of the same ilk. I'm guessing it was their own doing and not a state deal. Hell, South Bend used to have a magazine size limit. Some companies still think it's in effect. I've had to use my work address (not in SB) to get them to ship to me.

That was a state requirement, not county by county.

I finally got it all straightened out and got my lifetime licence, so I never have to go through this again.

Now just watch the laws change after the election...
