China's military "will heavily attack U.S. troops who come to Taiwan's rescue" if a war between China and Taiwan breaks out, a possibility that is increasingly likely as the Communist regime readies its war machine on Taiwan's borders.

The latest threat to attack the United States during any standoff between China and Taiwan was issued Thursday in the Global Times, an official Chinese Communist Party mouthpiece that prints the regime's propaganda. "It is credible that the [People's Liberation Army] will heavily attack U.S. troops who come to Taiwan's rescue," the paper wrote. "Such credibility is increasingly overwhelming the deterrence that U.S. troops may have."

So do you think China would really risk war with the country that does the most business with it?

Or will Democrat leaders allow our troops to be killed and just Sabre rattle to try and appease the American people?

There is a lot of this sentiment expressed here on INGO. Does anyone really believe the Chinese, with their world domination plans, give a flying ****in a rolling doughnut, about preserving the US?

This is an appeasement strategy built by corrupt profiting from selling our country out. Dont be fooled by this application of capitalistic principals to a communist country using this to cover while they use capitalism for their totalitarian domination…

I don't think they're risking much in terms of the US.
I think they know we have become way to dependant on them and now there is a lame duck in office.

No better time than now to make a move on Taiwan, which they're doing.

He will send them, tie their hands on response, then cut off support and escape.
Anyone really trust him to have their back once the get off the landing craft?
I can see one or the other of these happening.
Who is really in charge of our country because it isn't Biden.

Well, yeah, presumably any troops we send to Taiwan would be prepared to oppose China with more than harsh language and thrown crayons.

Not that Biden would ever rouse himself from his nap long enough to order such a thing.

I think at most he will send some ships with some lame threats and then China will do what they watched Russia do. Threaten that if we continue they will retaliate, and then Jackass Joe will turn tail and head home (AGAIN) like the POS that he is

I don't think the chinese will invade Taiwan until after they talk to big computer money. Maybe they will just buy california.

China takes Taiwan, Russia takes Ukraine, Biden takes a nap?
Sounds like playing Risk with 5 year olds.

    Edit"
"National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan said the U.S. is prepared to defend Taiwan from a Chinese invasion and takeover, saying the Biden administration hopes that scenario “never happens.”

Agreeing that many wars have been fought between trading partners, does anyone think that Americans who enjoy their "cheap stuff" would put up with a full boycott of all Chinese made items?

Would a full boycott of Chinese made items cause massive problems within China, possibly causing their own people to finally stand up to their oppressive government? Doubt it because like here, many people have become too accustomed to being spoon fed, and having to feed themselves is not in the cards.

I look at it this way - China moves to occupy Taiwan; IF US troops move to aid Taiwan, China simply stops shipping goods to the US as a demonstration of who wears the pants in the US-Chinese trade relationship. Because we buy basically everything from China anyways including the tech that our overly-technophied military depends on to fight such a war, we'd be crippled both militarily and economically back home... No shots need be fired. As an added measure they could flex their naval muscles in the South China Sea over which they claim also to have absolute sovereignty and embargo any US bound cargo from any other Asian country with which we may still be friendly. They may talk big and they may have the will to back it up if it comes to that but they can cripple us much more efficiently without resorting to a shooting war.

The other tactic could be coordination with the Russian-Ukraine advance in order that American interests are spread across different regions simultaneously and therefore less effective in either front. Each could just be waiting to see if the other steps over the border first and then they'll follow suit.

America's love-hate relationship with foreign wars is less 'gutsy' when Democrats are in power and Biden's the most gutless of all. He's basically doing the same thing I think China is doing, which is rattling the sabre and roaring loudly because the roar is all old lions have left in them. Any military response from current administration will be tepid and lackluster and more for show than effectiveness, basically to say, "Well we tried" but since many already say Biden is in China's pocket then he has little incentive not to give them what they want but he still has to feign indignation and offer a pretend show of force for the news cycles back here at home.

The chess match is likely already over so the remaining moves are probably inconsequential.

Which administration would? What administration has supported Taiwan independance? None.

    2018 State Dept:

The United States and Taiwan enjoy a robust unofficial relationship. The 1979 U.S.-P.R.C. Joint Communique switched diplomatic recognition from Taipei to Beijing. In the Joint Communique, the United States recognized the Government of the People’s Republic of China as the sole legal government of China, acknowledging the Chinese position that there is but one China and Taiwan is part of China.

Why should America saddle up for Taiwan, especially after recognizing China's legal claim to the island? How many US casualties would you like to see for this?
