I might be behind on all of the current threads. Has this happened recently?Well, considering the stupid encounters that certain ignorant LEOs initiated with people on this site....
Yes, they needed and probably still need a dang memo.

Everyone already knows the law...except lawyers, I guess, because we seem to always pause to look it up.I might be behind on all of the current threads. Has this happened recently?
He got his permit as soon as he was able to after turning 21. So he had one.Interesting statement. Has it been confirmed that Dicken did not have a LTCH and was, in fact, taking advantage of the new CC law?
You`ve always had to have a carry permit to have a loaded handgun in a vehicle, right? If going to the range to shoot minus a permit, handgun had to be in locked container, unloaded, with ammunition separate?OK, so I thought the CC law allowed non-LTCH holder, proper-persons, to possess loaded handgun in car. The site you list above is fairly current in that it shows Indiana's CC status, yet says you need LTCH to carry loaded in a car.
Am I missing something obvious, or am I just being denser than usual? From the site:
CARRY IN VEHICLE?
Can you carry a concealed handgun in a vehicle in Indiana?
Yes, with a valid concealed carry license. Without a license, handguns must be unloaded, not readily accessible and secured in a case.
[Ind. Code § 35.47.2.1]

He could have gotten an Indiana LTCH at age 18.He got his permit as soon as he was able to after turning 21. So he had one.
Correct. That was true until 7/1/2022. It is no longer true.
We do, it's just from here to the Florida line once Bama's ConC goes into law 1 January you can get from here to there ConC all the way.Where have we had to pass through that we weren`t covered by a reciprocity agreement? We`ve had reciprocity with states from here to Florida for some time.
Maybe you can’t. LOL.We do, it's just from here to the Florida line once Bama's ConC goes into law 1 January you can get from here to there ConC all the way.
South Carolina is the lone holdout in the southeast. Even with my non-resident Florida license I can't carry in SC.
