Why are they called the new black panthers? Is there an old black panther party? Are there two different groups? Or did they just add new to their name for some reason?

The new black panthers are really more like the new black kitty cats. A bunch of felons and idiots that talk trash. They stand around and flap their gums wearing their cheap ass wally world combat boots attempting to look all militant. Anyone that was really wanting to do what they claim they want to do to Zimmerman sure would not be on TV bragging about it. They are just smart enough to know where NOT to be. I don't know about you guys but I sure didn't see any at my designated polling place last presidential election.

And no I am not a racist. I have some very good fiends that are black. Damn good guys too.

The New Black Panthers are a racist group. The "Old" Black Panthers of the late 60s and early 70s were decidedly not racist (the work with other races). However, they were very anti-police (consistent with the counter-culture of the day), but afterwards corruption infiltrated their ranks, and they became flat out crooks. They disbanded soon after.

You think Malcom X was a demagogue? That's a stretch, all things considered, following his pilgrimage to Mecca; prior to that I would agree. The same could have been said of George C. Wallace, who also changed his course.

OK, I don't think that's quite the same as "allowed" though. Given the NBP are blasting Holder for not getting directly involved in the Martin - Zimmerman case, this could become interesting.

The Black Panthers, the Students for Democratic Society, the Weather Underground, Bill Ayres, and many others were well known during the time I was defusing their bombs in the period between 1971 and 1973 in the upper midwest. They have never gone away. They have just evolved. There aims are the same aims they had in the 60's and 70's.

While those in my generation served in Vietnam and other areas like I did, we went on and raised families and tried to put the unpleasantness behind us.

The commies and socialists who caused the upheavals against the vietnam war and the American way of life never gave up on their struggle.

For the young people in this country, I hope the hippies from the sixties succumb to old age and fade out so that you can continue to create the american dream.

Trouble is, these folks have been teaching our kids for the last 35 years.....
