Same thing happens with other states with huge urban city/states (think Illinois with Chicago speaking for the whole state). The majority forces the hand of the minority.

CA has some very rural areas with some great people who do not agree or like the laws and politics that have taken hold.

That is true, I know some really fine people that live near San Francisco, they are as disgusted with the government as you and I are. The Pacific Trap Association is in the fight for gun rights 24/7. Same as a lot of men who are in the City of Chicago in the same boat. They vote, and support the right thing, but the herds that follow the democrats reproduce at about a 10 to one increase.

Just remember; no one is after your guns.

Given California's utter disdain for the Second Amendment, and therefore the Constitution, and it's refusal to cooperate with Federal Agencies such as ICE (not to mention numerous sanctuary cities) at what point can the Federal funds be cut off? NC passes a law about bathrooms and the Feds try and prevent their workers travelling to that State. Surely denying the citizens living in California their Constitutionally protected rights deserves a more serious punishment.

Or do we consider that California has no intention of adhering to the Constitution and is de facto attempting to secede from the United States?

California has a screwed up moral base. Guys running around it dresses are hero's but a guy that wants to protect himself and his family is a criminal. Illegal aliens get more out of the US constitution by a perversion of it then a gun owner does in the writing of the original document.

Urban centers can't survive on revenue that they can extract from the people that live there, they have to get money from the state and feds. People paying the bills need to wake up.
That, and every urban/socialist cesspool would have it's own 2 senators which would be a disaster particularly during confirmation hearings.

Remember who the 'emperor-in-chief' is, with his pen and his phone, who has politicized the DOJ. You're working on the premise that the Constitution is supposed to be the law of the land instead of a politically incorrect obstacle.

When it does fall off, we fools will just build it back. Like we did New Orleans.

    Totally not related but;

If we buy this global climate change crap and that the oceans are gonna swallow us up,
why do we build back a city under sea level to start with? And then give them a super bowl win...

If those large areas ever leaned conservative, I might re-evaluate my thinking. I have yet to see one do so, as a whole.
Full representation in the legislature is contingent upon whether people agree with you? That's a bit undemocratic, don't you think? The cities you mentioned, by themselves, are over 5% of the population.

Since California is net negative on federal funds (they pay in a bit more than comes back) wouldn't keeping their money instead of participating in federal funding that be a plus for them?

My agreement with it is not required for it to happen. And yes, those cities do comprise a large portion of our population (ETA: in a small geographic area.) They also are currently represented, but not as states in and of themselves.

In short, if that's what they want to do, let them go and fight the fight and try to make it happen. Just don't expect me to endorse the idea. Much more than 5% of the population supports either Hillary or Bernie for President, but I'm not going along with them, either.

    Blessings,
    Bill

Give 'em independence. See how they survive on their own. The welfare state that they are will see their ruination, as if it hasn't already. --"One Man's Opinion!"

California has one of the worlds largest economies. not to mention, a lot of their money pays for things in other states. Especially southern states.

Shut the water off they bleed from other states and they would be a raisin in short order. Make them bury their own trash in state and they would live in garbage. They are far from self sufficient. And it's a liberal hell hole of immorality. And they want to force their crap life style on us. Na, I wanna keep my guns and my moral values just the way I like them. I wouldn't even except a free trip to CA.

I sorta feel that way about Chicago. I used to say it was OK for a visit, what with the museums and such, but I have no interest in even a short visit these days.

Agreed on both places. I will not even accept a free trip there. If I am forced to go to IL for whatever reason (on occasion, I still have to take a transfer there, for example) the only thing I'll do outside of work responsibilities in IL is empty my bladder or bowels. I can wait to buy fuel or food until I'm back over the border in free America.
