Wow decisions decisions. I would use my Remingto 700 .308, Springfield M1 Garand, one of my Mosins, one of my SKS's, AK47 just dont know which one first and which one the year after. :dunno:

But this year I am using my Marlin 336 .35rem
Id probably have to bring a Mosin out next year! :rockwoot:

In VA I used a 30-06 Woodsmaster, moved to PA which did not allow semi rifles so I put together a 30-06 encore. If the rules change I will go back to either one of those. This year I plan on using a 357 lever gun because that is what I have. With the rule change on the horizon I am putting off getting one of the Hoosier wildcats.

If that encore is in a pistol platform, the .30-06 is legal now, under the current rules.

Your poor hunting partner, I can see it now- "The first man in line gets a rifle, the second, ammunition. When the first hunter is gored by a rut crazed buck, the second man picks up the rifle, and shoots." By the way, Chuck Norris is a bad a**, but wouldn't the ideal b.a. for a Mosin be the legendary Simo Hayha or "The End" from the Metal Gear Solid franchise?

Simo would be better. All he would need to do is hunker down in a snowdrift and wait for Chuck to freeze off his man-berries.:evilangel:

Hmm. Might try out the 30-30, only because it would be cheaper to shoot than the 870 with sabots.
I dunno, something just wouldn't seem right not holding a shotgun during firearms season.

I will be using my 45-70....which outta be legal anyway. It is a ballistic twin to the 458 SOCOM which is legal--but ya know, all about case length which is illogical, but I am not going to be the broken record on that. Depending on where I set up, I may use my TC ICON .308. Got a nasty handload for that.

I'll likely use the same .243 Remington 700 BDL that I use for deer hunting in the summer. If I think there might be a chance encounter with some nazi deer, I'll grab one of my Garands.

Since im new to deer hunting and next year will be my first year ever, it opens up more choices for me being a noob. Ill probably use a bolt action .308 since I am wanting to get one. Now to actually learn how to hunt lol

Depending where I am hunting either my Browning leveraction 308 or my savage weather warrior 300 win mag. I may even try my SKS or AK

The BLR in 308 is a mighty fine rifle. I'd love to have one. I use a bow and a 44 mag currently but i would probably take my 243 out some.

I would use my single shot 35 Remington with factory rounds and get rid of my trimmed rounds I currently use. I am considering a 7mm-08 in a bolt gun, but right now I have a good setup and don't need to change.
