    Well I bought one 20# tank, the hose with regulator at menards.

    They were out of the heater.
    Drove over to home depot in the next plaza and they had thr Mr heater big buddy for the same price. So I got one.

    I have about five 1# propane bottles already. So I think I'm set for this storm. Maybe I'll get a few more 1# but unsure.

    Those one pounders are good only for emergencies.
    Or if you need to carry it.

    It says the Big Buddy heater takes two of the 1# bottles.
    Can it run on only one 1# bottle?
    If you get the hose, will it hook up to both sides or just one?

    At least on my model, I can hook up 2 bottles (1lb).
    I can use just one, but then there is limited heat time.

    As for the hose, I think it just connects on one side.

    There are a LOT of videos on youtube reviewing them.

    A downside, they don't have thermostat control.
    So, you run it till you're hot, then turn it off till you're cold.
