No new meds yet, I keep putting it off, I know from past experience if and when I get new meds, I'll be forced to take medical leave from work. I think I'll try to get into the doctor sometime next week. I was able to work four out of five days this week, granted 3 of the days I really shouldn't have, but I don't like clawing in sick. I'm on my off days now so so vi can take my pain meds to help when it gets bad and hopefully sllpp.

im feeling half and half right now, but that's because I broke down and popped my pain meds about an hour ago. I'm going to talk with with the doctor about trying a gabapentin, flouxetine, and baclofen combination. With the occasional use of Vicodin and Valium for really bad day, (30 pills of the Vicodin and Valium normally last me about 9-12 months, not a big fan of taking it, but they do seem to make the pain more bearable and allow me better sleep)

ive vet talked online with a few folks who suffer with Trigeminal Nueralgia, and atypical TN, and one person with bilateral TN (which actually in itself makes it atypical, but they present with regular tn symptoms just both sides. I'm the only one within the "online group" the suffers from ABTN. But we have all spoken of our experiences with different meds and such and we came to the conclusion, based on my symptoms the fore mentioned combination may help get my symptoms under control best.

Unfortunately the one med that I considered a miracle drub was Tegretal, symptom free after 3 days, I had an allergic reaction to. But with that combination, as with other combinations I was left with some brain fog, slow response times, an almost "high" demeanor along along with sleepiness and tiredness. Those side effects don't go well with my occupation, so after starting I will be forced to take medical leave. If they help and I adjust I may only be off for a week or two. If the doses need to be adjusted and tweaked, then the side effects may last longer, and medical leave will have to be extended. That is of course if it helps.

I may may be forced with just having ot see a pain management specialist, and live with it, most likely on medical leave, until this current flare up subsides. Just to many unknown variables. That's enough typing for into.

Being that I was involved in logistics, warehousing and trucking I can tell you that those symptoms are typical of many fork lift drivers.

The the Vicodin, Valium and baclofen has worn off, and it wasn't able to get to sleep. Now I will sit here in the recliner and pass out form exhaustion for 20-30 minutes at a time for the rest of the day. Hopefully I feel better this avenging, have a taste for some harryo'os, lemon rice soup, flaming goat cheese, and the chicken and rib combo dinner is calling my name. Doubt I'll go, but it does sound good.
