Who is going to be paid handsomely while the police officer may end up out of a job and may face criminal charges.

    Whos the dumbass now?

My Father and Mother raised me not to lie, so I wouldn't know.. just because he got beat up or harassed by a police officer doesn't mean he'll win a lawsuit, hell if I were on this jury I wouldn't award him ****.. he lied to begin with. Maybe if he told the truth the police officer would have been on his mary ****ing way, but instead he lied and got ****ed up.. I'd say he's the dumbass either way!

Are you suggesting that lying about whether you do or do not live at a residence is justification to be beaten?

I guess if you and I are talking and you lie about something or you misstate something then that gives me justification to throw you to the ground and kick you in the face.

    Stop resisting!

I gotta disagree with you on this one...that cop was already in JBT mode...his stopping and shining the light on him was enough proof of that in itself.
When have you ever witnessed a cop stopping and asking if they can help you, just because you are standing on a driveway?
Do you really think the cop wanted to help by asking if he could help him?

No I don't think he asked him that because he wanted to help him.. he did that for his own motivations.

My personal opinion is he did so to **** with him.. and he did just that and more.

Look...I think it all boils down to this:

Incidents such as these lead the normal everyday law-abiding citizen to think (justifiably much of the time, IMHO) that cops can't be trusted when things go south.

Hell...the black community has felt this way for eons (justifiably much of the time, IMHO).

Maybe it's because it's quite a shock to us white folk when we see all these video clips of thin-lipped honkies getting a cop beat-down or other abuse.

We're accustomed to seeing black folks get thumped by the man. They probably had it coming....

    I dunno. Just a thought...

What does all this lead to? Well...I think it leads to folks thinking they can't call the cops when there's trouble, they can't trust them, and they shouldn't get involved or cooperate because the cops will probably try to mess with them too.

Who are you gonna call then? Nobody...that's who.

So...folks shut up, don't step in to defuse situations like the McDs assault, and are suspicious of cops.

A bad deal all around, and not good for society.

Does any of this make any sense?

your entitled to your opinion nice try at trying to glorify cops. i spent 4 years overseas in the military thanks for setting me straight on that whole soldier thing mr civilian. and as far as truck drivers never getting shot tell that to the family of the driver who was shot and killed last week in st louis. far more truckdrivers die every year in the line of duty than cops so you can tap dance around it all you want but thats the facts. and drivers do get involved in a lot of traumatic stuff. most of the time when a wreck occurs we are on the scene before any cop or paramedic. when a wreck happens in front of us we stop and do what we can until help arrives.

    LOL Mr. Dramatic??

In terms of risk Police>Truck driver, and it isn't even close. I have ton's of gay friends that are professional truck drivers and trust me... things get "rough" sometimes ;-) but it's not like being a police officer. Anyway about it Police Officers deserve respect until that particular officer proves they are not respectable. Just like you or me.

    Thanks,
Matthew (BTW if you hope rape on anyone you are truly a sick person seek help).

When you look at your job as "babysitting" the population, and most of the laws are Nanny State codes, then it starts to make sense that a citizen who mouths off to you deserves to be beaten like a red-haired step child.

Over-reaching gov't authority + sociopath with a temper + citizen unwilling to do the slave dance = Stories like this

have you ever been a truckdriver or an leo? hanging out with gay friends does not mean you know anything about either. but it might get you front row tickets to see the village people.

My boss was a truckdriver, and my bosses partner, and all the friends I hung out with around the campfire in Aurora Indiana. I heard lots of interesting stories, and learned about the rules of the road LOL.. but no, no I wasn't a truck driver. I would rather stick to my computers. They however all carried, and half of them were republican.

    Thanks,

When I worked for the fire dept...we went on a run of an overturned semi on the ramp from EB I-70 to NB I-465 on the SW side.

This driver lost control half way down the ramp and rolled off down the hill spilling several thousand gallons of some wicked crap we had to clean up.

When we pulled him out of the truck he had his wiener pulled out and had been whacking off with a girlie magazine on his lap...and a milk crate full of other porn mags between the seats.

Just one of the many dangers of driving a truck. :): That and apparently going blind.
