I acutually broke the clip on my E2DL as well. Don't remember how. I also can't keep a cell phone on my hip, catches on everything.

Looks like Surefire has discontinued the LX2. You can find some online in a few places.

But I'm curious, what would be the next best thing to a Surefire lx2? Would it be the EB2 backup?

I've been looking for a dedicated nightstand flashlight. Been carrying a LX2 for four years now so I wanted that for my nightstand too. Was able to pick up a used Surefire LX2 on eBay for $60 It had a broken pocket clip and was missing the lanyard ring, so I need to find away to mount the lanyard. I got the idea from this video.

I drilled a 3/16th hole through the broken pocket clip. I used a small piece of spring steel from an old windshield wiper to hold the lanyard to the broken clip.













This is also where you really need a momentary switch flashlight. Last thing you want to do is drop the flashlight and then have it blind
you.

Does anyone know what happened to the surefire rapid replacement parts page? Is it just down, or did they remove it?
