esrice thanks for the very detailed review. I picked up a pair of these gloves today and tried them out. They are far better than my Hatch Specialist All Weather Shooting Gloves. I could not really feel the trigger with the Hatch gloves, but these UA gloves are almost like wearing nothing in regards to feel and they really grip well.

I got them from Dick's in Avon. By the way all the men's UA Armourstretch gloves were in the women's section. They moved them to the correct section today so if you were in there before noon and didn't find them they were hiding in the wrong section.

If anyone is interested the style# is 1006605 and the link on UA site posted by nighthawk80 was correct:

    Under Armour | Men's Armour Stretch Glove | 1006605 | $29.99

Thanks for the style confirmation TD.

I too replaced my Hatch All Weather Shooting Gloves with these.

Please report back once you get some time with them, as I'm curious about their durability over time, being so light and thin.

Got mine today at Dick's in Castleton, taking them to the Highpower match at the Deer Creek Conservation Club this Sunday (9AM start). I hope they work as well as I think they will!

I went to Aterbury Shooting Complex today so I stopped at the UnderArmour store at the outlet mall. Of course they didn't have any. In fact, I think the store sucked, prices weren't special at all. Guess I'll pick some up at Dicks.

I've had a previous generation for a few years. Great all around cool (pardon the pun) gloves with good dexterity.

When it has gotten really cold, or I've got plans to be out in the cold for a long time, such as shoveling snow, early winter football game, snow skiing, etc., I'll wear them under a larger pair of gloves and they work great for that too.

Believe it or not, I don't like them for shooting my AR for one reason though...the underarmor material does like to snag on sharp parts of the gun, such as uncovered picatinny rail and the like.

For cool weather (or for PD Carbine class), I like regular Mechanix gloves as they reatain good dexterity, and also provide some basic warmth.

That said, I wouldn't hesitate to use the UA gloves for shooting if I didn't have my other gloves around.

Picked up a pair of these at the Castleton Dicks store. They are between the two escalators as you go up.

They feel nice, not too tight, and I still have nice feeling in my fingers for pulling the trigger. Hands stayed nice and warm but not to warm that I had to take them off.

    Nice find esrice.

Thanks for the heads up on that. I was going to stop by there sometime. For some other things besides gloves. You my friend just saved me a wasted trip. I'll just stop by Dicks the next time I'm in Greenwood.

I stopped buy there today and they do carry them. they were hard to find though. They were in the row right under the sock hats, next to the scarfs.
I tried them on. I'll admit, they were nice, but still hard to swallow for $30.

The price is steep. But having already owned and used a similar pair of Hatch shooting gloves that I was not happy with I had no problem coughing up the money.

$30 did seem a little high, until I considered all the other places I could wear them. I found I could get into my front pocket and retrieve keys and change, I think they'll serve as every day carry gloves for colder weather..

7 No. 2010 Range report for Under Armour Cold Weather Gloves.

These things are great, the temperature was right at 30 when I got to the range, after setup and the safety meeting I was able to safely manipulate all the controls on my Garand and M14 (safety, magazine release, clip release, various loading scenarios) all with little or no difficulty. The trigger feel was excellent, not quite as good as a bare finger, but at least my finger wasn't numb!

    They were also plenty warm.

I used mine yesterday (6 Nov 2010) on a outside range at 2pm. Don't know what the temp was but my hands got real cold after taking them off to pack up.

These work so much better than the Hatch gloves I used previously. I had no problem loading pistol Mags and shooting with these gloves. They give you a real feel of the trigger and the grip material on the trigger finger allows you to securely use the proper amount of finger on the trigger. I'm very happy with them. Now lets wait and see how much cold weather protection they can provide when it gets really cold.

I went looking for these gloves here in town but we've only got 1 place that sells under armour and they didn't have them. They had some camo under armour gloves that were pretty nice, they were cold gear stretch gloves with the palm/finger grip. They were $34.99 so it looks like I'll be shopping around a bit when I can get to Dick's or Dunham's. The gloves I tried on did feel like they'd be great for late fall/winter shooting and hunting.

I picked up a pair today along with a zippered fleece jacket. I also wanted a beanie but they where so tight on my big head. Also looked at hats but they did not have a color I liked in my size.

I really like the gloves. I was able to pick change out of my pocket easily. Only time will tell, but I think they are going to make a great pear of gloves. Not only for shooting buy for daily use. :D

The Under Armour website is running a free shipping with no minimum purchase if you use the UANEW code when you check out. They have the Amourstretch gloves for the same price as Dick's ($29.95) if some of you can't get to Dick's or find them anywhere else.
