No effin way I’m getting one.

They've been out for years. I saw one in the Bond movie "Spectre" so they have to be real, right?

"$1,795 for law enforcement and $2,195 for civilians, said Tom Holland, a Kansas Democratic state senator who co-founded the company in 2020."
Maybe this is the Dem's gun-control?

I predict a whole lot of nothing.
Sure, there will be the inevitable flock of idiots upon initial release, but in the overall scheme...

I don't see it taking hold.

    Unless by decree :xmad:
Executive order maybe, but right now there are too many new gun owners that just purchased their first firearm, and they were conventional design.
Do you think they will run out to replace them by choice?
Now would be the exact wrong time for the left to push more gun control.
On the eve of an election season, and with all the new owners, I think any legislator who introduced something like a mandate for smart guns now would be commiting political suicide.

yeah that will be funny until a bad guy tries to kill someone famous or something but then gets eaten by komodo dragons because he takes their gun but can’t shoot it. THEN we’ll just see who changes their mind about smart guns...

How many first time gun buyers do you think would know enough to understand to stay away from them?

Market this as the latest and greatest tech (and tout the great app that comes with it) and they’ll eat em up.

Most of the sheep are easy to herd.

Oh they'll get some, you're right there, but a massive wave?
    I doubt it.

Marketing won't overcome the price tag for most people.
