Hitting 208 in that thing would be a butt clenching experience for me. Kid has some stones for getting up there. He's not very bright though.

I think I could crack 200 in my Talon given the right track conditions. It's been 160 with plenty left. My car isn't near as powerful as some friends of mine. One buddy may have had a UGR TT Lambo that may have had ~1700 HP. It may have cracked 220mph on a certain loop of road around Indy. But that's just a rumor.

It is mathematically possible to reach triple the speed limit from the W 86th St onbound ramp of I-465 to the W 71 St offbound ramp. But I can't show you the equation.

Streetable is in the eye of the beholder.
I've had a few street cars that were not exactly legal and shouldn't have been on the street even on the occasional weekend "contest".
I'm sure there's a lot of cars faster but not going for records or fame.

    Define "Legal" please...............

None of my questionably "Legal" street cars were geared/built for top end speeds. Light to light or 1/4 mile blasts were the norm.
Been 200+ in a race car on a closed track. Totally different than what our subject did. triple digits on the street is where the demon lives. His claws come out past 100. Double that and he gets hungry.

    No legal about it.
Trailers to the racing area, run, cool off, maybe run again if I. Won and didn't break something.
    We were left alone mostly.
    We eventually got shut down.
    Cops used to be cool

Yeah we had some local LEO that ignored us if we went out and away.
I-74 out by the Dam (Eagle Creek) was a great place.
Sometimes we were followed when rolling out of the places we hung out heading to race. We had a following most times of the onlookers that wanted to bet on the races.
We set a location and told every one. When we left the lot everybody went different directions and we would converge later at a set time. It usually worked.
Except for the one time it didn't and I spent the night in jail. Damn it.Should have turned off the brake lights I guess.

Streetable to me is a vehicle with license plate, registration, and insurance that will pass muster if requested. Is there another definition?

Passing muster was the real thing actually.
Decibels/bumper height/tires/exhaust location (yes, location) were the things we dealt with.
I actually had a serious discussion on vision obstruction over the Tach/OP/temp gauge's being on the dash board.

I've always just enjoyed the acceleration to 60 or 80. We used to race in the lots behind warehouses. Couldn't get much past 90 or so in that amount of space...of course I wasn't dealing with very potent cars.

Some of us grew up in that world and its just a way of life.
I am sure our subject Mustang lives in that world as well.
    This is normal for some.

I have friends that still do this.
These days you can buy that kind of speed over the phone.
Just bolt it in and run.
