How do you go about adjusting the frame/slide fit? Weld it up and cut new rails?

And oooof, I thought the parts list for Cajunizing a CZ was a bit expensive. 1911 parts are even worse.

I will be stripping the Olive Drab off of it when I start the project as the frame/slide fit is not what I want.

I am looking forward to running the Phantom today. I should load some mags I guess.

I should have brought my Phantom along to run them back to back. I always find it interesting how two identical guns with the same parts can turn out so different. Of course, most people wouldn't be able to feel any difference.

That would have been interesting for sure.
In this I always find areas to address when doing the next gun.
I am anxious to get my package in the mail from the parts store.

We will have other opportunities to shoot both those and the 97s back to back. Gives me something to look forward to.

It can be done by welding and re-machine of the frame lands in a really critical fit up.

I have all the tools required to get the fit where I want it. It is a very physical way to do it but with patience a proper fit can be achieved.
