Oh rub some dirt on it and drive. :)

I just drove a bunch of miles this past weekend to go pick up a 9mm revolver.

If it's such a good deal, then drive or have it shipped.

I think you can ship a hangun via USPS if you ship it in two packages.
Like the frame in one and the barrel with slide in the other.
That's like shipping half a handgun so it's not a hangun, that's what I heard anyway.
And when you think about it you can order handguns parts that you get via USPS, like magazines, barrels, slides, frames and stuff.

It just depends on the item. A $20 box of ammo, I'm not willing to drive too far to buy/sell that. A rifle/handgun/etc., I'll always offer to meet halfway. As far as shipping, I really hate shipping stuff. I'd much rather meet FTF and lose a little gas money than to fool with shipping.

One of these makes it a little easier... You also get to meet some great people along the way...

are you sure????.....i thought ANY shipped firearm( not muzzleloaders) had to go threw a FFL even in state.....you have a link to the law?

    Per INGO FAQ section:
    • What must I do to ship a pistol or a rifle to another Indiana resident?
Rifles may be shipped via USPS. Pistols may not be shipped via USPS, but must be shipped via Common Carrier (e.g. UPS, FedEx, etc.). In either case, an FFL is not required to be involved in this process. For USPS, Priority Mail with Delivery Confirmation is recommended but not required. You may also select "Signature Required" and purchase insurance as well, if you like.

I have had four handguns sent to me from in-state deals with no problems and no FFL involved.

What's funny is when something is for sale, you have folks lined up and some joker gets riled up because you won't drive to middle of nowhere when I have literally 25 offers locally. Have been called everything under the sun: Con man, scammer, trailer trash, ***got, etc.. because some hilljack in the middle of nowhere didn't get his toy and because I would not drive out 100 miles to meet them when I have someone literally next door that answered earlier (not a direct indicator of who I choose). :twocents:

I hear ya!!!! I have been trying to call out in any ads I place that I will not drive 100 miles for a hookup. How sad is that. Back in the day gas was not a issue in and we would drive all over the state to find a deal.

Hell I could jump into that 85 Ford Escort with the pop up sun roof and the cassette player and drive all day. I was styling.

    You have to combine deals.....

Meet Spasmo in Muncie to buy a pool. Picked up my Spike's lowers from Cory at the same gun show... Drove down to see Michiana and pick up my other lower and two LPKs...

Drove for about 5 hours round trip. Met a bunch of great INGOers and got some great deals..

I like a deal but if I have to drive 2-3 hours to save $30 it's not worth it most of the time. Some times I wish I moved closer to Indy there always seems to be a deal down there.

How about a service similar to Peapod? Call it INGO Peapod. Run it twice a month. INGO members make the deal, make payment and then an INGO volunteer drives a state circuit where he will meet at certain collection/delivery points to complete deals started on INGO. He would, of course, collect a small fee sufficient to cover expenses.

Ok .... maybe it's too complicated. How about a subforum in the classifieds where INGO members can post the date/time of their next trip north/south and offer to complete a deal for other INGO members? People that need help completing a deal could also post their need and wait for someone to come along and offer their services.

Hmmmm .... Ok, how about we take our stuff to a government building and pay them to take our stuff to other INGO members?

I happen to know a guy who does this very thing. He delivers packages all over Indiana and he drives a big brown truck...

Why do you guys make this so difficult?
