Why do those of you that chose the 19 over the 26 do so? I have the 26. Just wondering what the major differences are that made you choose the way you did.

Glock 17, Fits the hand well, is a bit big for CC daily.
Glock 19, Fits the hand only slightly more poorly than the 17, is a bit easier to conceal
Glock 26, Conceals much more easily, but does not fit the hand well. (at least my hand.)

I think the first Glock Pami and I will buy will be a 26. I'll likely carry it as a BUG if she doesn't carry it daily. If she does, we'll get a second one. ;)

That I can definitely concur with. It's a little big for my hand which is why I got the kel-tec pf9. I'm told I can actually have the grip redone on it to fit my hand. I have no idea how much that would cost but not sure I want to do it.

    I can't believe I'm saying this...

But the G26 with the pinky extension is actually a great size for me. It just needs that extra 1/2" on the length of the grip for me not to fumble with it and get my natural grip on it.

i personally like the smith m&p i carry the 9c bought it in feb. and havent went anywhere without it. ima big guy and for a compact the adjustable grip is great! and its the perfect size for ccw. great feel, reliable and a glutton for punnishment. and i gotta say smiths look better than those borring glocks imo.

    I have owned a G26, M&P9c, and own a P2000sk.

I like the Smith, but did have some quality issues (If you have a round chambered and try to clear the round in the pipe. If it is not a hollow point, it will stick and not eject --- try it. Most of the early ones had this issue).

Even with above omitted, I think the best all round sub compact is the 26. . .
The best value (when they had the $50 rebate) was the 9c.
I, however, carry a P2000sk b/c I believe it is the most well made of the three.

If you get the 26 and have hands larger than a hamster, pick up some extensions or a Glock factory +1 for your mags.

I have a 26 on the way that I ordered through Karl. Should be here the first of the week. I'll compare it to my 19, and report back.

I really don't like a 2-fingered hold on a handgun, and if you put a grip extension on the 26 it's almost as large as a 19, so why not just carry a 19 and have the extra capacity?

Excellent point. For someone my size the 19 would be a better choice.

I still, however, enjoy the P2000sk.

    * I intensely dislike slide mounted decockers/safeties, but the 39's are sweet shooters.

From my experience, the 2 fingered grip most everyone seems to dread is more psychological than physical.

Catch up to me at EC some weekend, and I'll demo.

Good point. I don't dread it though, I just don't like it. I've owned a G26 and G27. Tried to like em, put a lot of rounds through em, but I really prefer a full-sized grip. But I agree that you need to try it for yourself first.
